Aotearoa -

Each year, many thousands of students come to beautiful New Zealand for a high-quality education in a safe, multicultural environment. Home to more than four million people, New Zealand is one of the least crowded countries in the world. Here you can enjoy your studies and experience a fun and friendly lifestyle as well!

Each of Otago Polytechnic’s three campuses offers a different student experience.

Dunedin

Dunedin is New Zealand’s student capital, and the country’s premier centre of learning. It is home to about 25,000 students – about a fifth of the city’s population.

Dunedin is a safe and beautiful city with a natural harbour, numerous beaches and some of the world’s rarest wildlife. It has historic buildings, interesting museums and art galleries, and plenty of cafés, bars and restaurants offering cuisine from around the globe.

Central Otago

Central Otago is known for its breathtaking landscape and is regarded as the adventure capital of New Zealand. It is often the hottest place in New Zealand in summer and the coldest in winter.

Home to about 17,500 people, it boasts stunning lakes, rivers and mountains, and offers a range of tourism, hospitality, adventure sports, snow sports and leisure activities.

Auckland

Cosmopolitan Auckland is New Zealand’s largest city and the country’s centre of business and industry. Home to about 1.6 million people, it has been rated the third best city in the world and the best city in Asia and the Pacific for lifestyle.*

There is a lot to see and do, including great shopping, international cuisine and excellent museums, theatres and art galleries. And even in the centre of the city you are never far from the outdoors.
