Each one of our tractors has its own unique history. A his-tory that goes way back, and which has always centred aroundmen and ideas, toil and creativity. Since then, SAME factories all around the world have been turning out more and more perfect, effi cient, evolved ma-chines: all with a special DNA which has always favoured effi ciency, without overlooking stylish design.

In the end, however, what counts most is the overall bal-ance: which is why, whichever SAME you choose, you’ll instantly notice that unique combination of power and delicacy, robustness and comfort, reliability and manoeu-vrability that only a SAME can deliver.

A fi ne balance also found, for example, in the unique weight/power relationship which is traditionally one of its fortes.

There’s no sinking into the land as a result of excessive weight, there’s no slipping due to an overly light struc-ture: in other words, these machine advance safely over any terrain, in any season, with any tool. It’s true, SAME’s reputation rests on solid foundations.

It’s easy to talk about tractors. But the needs of modern agriculture make many kinds of machines necessary: compact tractors, open fi eld models, tractors for fruit orchards and vineyards, crawlers...No-one knows farming techniques, terrains and specifi c working condi-tions better than SAME: that’s what goes into our product range, which is one of the most complete in the world and one that always has just the right machine to produce more and better, in the fi eld and in the company. Intended for agriculture professionals and subcontract op-erators, the Diamond is carefully designed to guarantee high performance and comfort. And regarding comfort, the Diamond offers a new stand-ard, seen in the luxurious cab, while the quality of the de-sign is evident in the clear controls, innovative solutions for cab and front axle suspension, high reliability and low running costs.

The new one-piece body in galvanized sheet combines styling, strength and functionality with the state-of-the-art technologies of over 200 HP: from the Deutz engines that provide outstanding performance to the versatile hydraulic system equipped with three circuits, designed to ensure that the equipment always has the necessary hydraulic power available.

The Same Diamond is equipped with the Deutz TIER II 6-cylinder turbo inter-cooler 7146 cc engines with electronic control, liquid-cooling with viscostatic fan and fuel radiator.A unit offering outstanding performance: maximum power over a wide engine speed range, high torque rises and con-siderable fl exibility (ensured even at low engine speeds by the high torque which is constant from 1200 to 1750 rpm).

Every detail reveals the great commitment to design for obtaining maximum driving comfort: large doors, wide non-slip steps, air-suspen-sion driver’s seat, cab and front axle integrated air sus-pension system, plus a pow-erful air conditioner and a level of quietness among the best in its category.

The SAME Diamond offers countless possibilities of use with any kind of equip-ment. The ZF 4-stage Power-shift transmission ensures the right forward speed for best exploiting all the engine’s power, while the 4 gears of the Powershift with six ranges plus creeper provide 40 for-ward gears and 40 reverse, with ideal ratios for obtaining maximum effi ciency.

IRON 165.7 is the best middle-high power tractor designed by SAME to take technology a step forward into the future. A step forward that changes the whole concept of “tractor”, transforming it from a simple farming vehicle to a productive, versatile and comfortable machine.

The professional choiceshuttle for working at the right speed at all times and an electronic lift with radar for precision control of all implement movements.

And then there is the air-conditioned cab, the pneumatic driver’s seat with built-in multifunction armrest console, the high-visibility roof and the front axle with hydropneumatic suspension: all designed for total comfort.

Finally, at the heart of the whole range is the latest generation of Deutz engines, the height of innovation brought by SAME to its customers.

IRON 165.7 is equipped with the 6-cylinder TIER II Deutz engine, 7146 cc with turbocharger and inter-cooler, electronic regulator and an in-jection system withsingle high-pressure pumps (1400 bar), which, thanks also to the innova-tive design of the combustion cham-bers, guarantee particularly high effi ciency levels, very high torques and limited fuel consumption.

The cooling system is as effi cient as it is functional: the fi ve radiators (coolant, gear oil, diesel, intercooler and air conditioning condenser) are positioned in series to give maximum air-fl ow exposurewhilst occupying the least possible space. Furthermore, the exclusive “compass” ra-diator opening system makes cleaning and maintenance much easier.

All the controls, colour-coded into different function groups,are arranged functionally and ergonomically around the op-erator, positioned according to frequency of use.The driver’s seat, as well as having a wide range of posi-tion settings, has pneumatic suspension that automaticallyadapts to the driver’s weight.

Engines of the Laser range embody a whole new con-cept in effi ciency, delivering a torque rise of up to 36% that will ensure any task on the soil or on the road can be tackled without diffi culty, even in the toughest of situ-ations.

Levels of comfort and pro-ductivity are always high with these engines, thanks to the use of modern electronic con-trol media: a state-of-the-art system that optimizes fuel consumption by ensuring ex-actly the right amount of fuel is supplied to the injectors, in response to varying load con-ditions.

All round vision is further enhanced by the high visibility roof with its gener-ously proportioned glass hatch, which will ensure the operator can perform every kind of manoeuvre when using a front loader, without ever losing sight of the attachment, even in poor or fad-ing light.

Wiring harnesses and all other parts under the one-piece hood are organized and rationalized in such a way that components will be bet-ter protected and last longer, and servicing points can be accessed more easily.

Excess clearance between calipers and brake discs is taken up by an innovative self-adjust system that brings several advantages: less power dissipated on releasing the brake pedals, discs less prone to overheating, longer service life and effi ciency of the braking system.

With excellent weight distri-bution, an optimum balance between low centre of gravity and high ground clearance, and high visibility in all direc-tions, the sensation of safety and stability aboard the TIGER is palpable.

Frutteto models are equipped with SDF 1000 series TIER I or II engines in 3 and 4 cylinder versions, turbo or turbo/intercooled, with electronic management. These tough, willing and reliable engines are designed to carry on working tirelessly for thousands of hours, with low running costs and ex-tremely limited maintenance.

A particularly effective me-chanical transmission offers a number of appropriately scaled ratios suffi cient to guarantee that the operator can always get the very best from the machine and rely on maximum effi ciency.
