Staff Update

Mrs Stevens will be starting her maternity leave at the end of this

term, to have her first baby! We are sure you would like to join us in

wishing her good luck and look forward to hearing all about the new

arrival. Mr Arbiter and Mrs Seager will take over the class for the

remainder of the academic year.

Parking

We have received

complaints from our neigh-

bours at the rear of the

school concerning inconsid-

erate, illegal and dangerous

parking. If you are driving

to school, please ensure you

do not park/stop on yellow

lines, in resident’s allocated

parking spaces or on the

busy main road. Please drop

your children off safely.

Please be aware our Senior

Leadership Team and Com-

munity Wardens will be

patrolling the area regularly.

With the warmer weather finally upon us, we would

like to remind parents that children are able to bring

in a sun hat to use during playtimes. School hats are

for sale (£4.00). Sun cream can also be brought into

school for children to apply if necessary; please be

aware that members of staff are not allowed to apply

cream to any child. Please ensure that all items are clearly labelled. Sunglasses are not

to be brought into school unless medical evidence from a doctor has been received.

Science Day - Friday 21st April

We had an exciting return to school last week, with an

action-packed Science Day on Friday 21st April for the

whole school. There were exciting workshops from

Fizzpop Science and Science Boffins and a visit from

Zoolab with their wonderful animals! We hope the

children enjoyed their ‘scientific day’ and learnt lots of

new and interesting facts!

On Friday 31st March we

held a Multicultural Day in

school. There were fun

drumming workshops for

Years 3-5 and lots of excit-

ing events that the whole

school enjoyed throughout

the day. The children

dressed up to represent their

country and everyone

looked so colourful! Class

1B had lots of fun trying

Indian food, making

Rangoli patterns, dancing to

Bhangra music and creating

Mehndi designs!

Our KS1 children had a visit from the wonderful

Mobile Farm on Tuesday 28th March. The children

were able to meet animals such as sheep, pigs, chickens

and goats up close and learn all about

them and the importance of farming

in this

country.
