The academy aims to preserve, promote and teach folk dance, heritage costumes and art forms, and its performers have appeared around the world including in the USA, Europe and Asia. As well as appearing at the Auckland Diwali Festival, the Kalehri Art & Culture Academy members will perform at the Wellington Diwali Festival and visit local schools.
