Features of the Clinical Psychology master:
– Academic master
– Between 130 and 150 students annually
– Preparation as scientist-practitioner
– Large percentage of temporary teaching staff (35+%)

Weaknesses ‘old’ CP master (just a selection):
Inspection QANU (2012):
– Limited choice for students
– Lack of international students admission
Curriculum evaluation FSW (e.g., 2014):
– Limited focus on professional prospects
– Limited focus on collaboration and reflection
Self analysis:
– Highly individualistic program
– Strongly NL oriented

Internationalization objectives
• To establish a fully internationally oriented master’s program located within Dutch society.
• To welcome Dutch and English speaking students, who will find no language barriers in developing an international expertise in current evidence-based knowledge, theoretical insights, state-of-the-art skills and experience in the field of clinical psychology and its applications.
Aim
• Deliver high quality all-round academic professionals who can contribute to all societal areas relevant to clinical psychology (e.g., treatment, research, policy, dissemination of information).

• International accreditation of the course?• How to make it affordable for non EU-students?• How to find decent housing for the international students?• How to create a real international community of students
(including the Dutch students)?• How to stay in tune (too) with the Dutch labor market?• How to create sufficient international internship possibilities?• (Partly) How to make the step from English language courses
to international courses?• How to finance the ongoing process?
Admission: selection competencies:
1. Psychological theories
You are able to analyze questions about health and illness with integrity and in a critically constructive way based on recent scientific psychological insights.
2. Psychopathology
You possess in-depth knowledge of aetiology, symptomatology and prognoses of adult psychological disorders according to recent insights.
3. Assessment
You are able to understand and conduct the adult diagnostic examination process from problem to diagnosis and recommendation.
4. Methods, statistics & Research report
You are able to independently (with supervision) prepare quantitative empirical psychological scientific research in a scientifically responsible way as well as conduct, report on and evaluate the research in a critically constructive way.
5. Communication techniques
You communicate effectively and clearly in a way that is tailored to the other discussion partner(s) and specific setting/situation, and can adequately report on this both verbally and in writing.

Admission: selection competencies:
1. Psychological theories

Accreditation:
• One year (60 ec) is often not enough for national accreditation elsewhere.

€ 15.167 for students from US, Australia etc.
also for students from Africa, Latin-America, Asia etc ……….!
