9AM Kite Building Session – Gozo Sports Complex Kite building session for children from Gozo schools6.30PM Opening Parade – Għarb Square Opening ceremony featuring international professional kite makers hailing from Malta, Germany, Russia, United Kingdom, Vietnam Switzerland, France, Portugal, Japan, Italy, India, Brazil, Argentina, Malaysia and Poland. All activities happening at limits of San Dimitri, Għarb10AM-12PM Flying display of kites of all shapes and sizes animated by Guilherme Linares Palau10.30AM-4PM Workshops open for all ages from 8 years upwards (minors to be accompanied by an adult). Participation by booking only on: www.mgoz.gov.mt (limited intake of participants per workshop). Bookings open till 14 October 2018 (bookings may close earlier than 14/10 if the maximum number of participants for workshops is reached). All activities happening at limits of San Dimitri, Għarb10AM Kite flying spectacle, including kites built during the workshops Display of handmade kites and competition. The competition is open for all and one can register at Għarb Local Council or on site up to 1 hour before the event. Marks will be awarded on kite artistic features, originality, technique and construction.
