What is Missão JuvepFounded in 1981, JUVEP does interdenominational international gospel evangelism and is committed to assisting and mobilizing the Church for the evangelization of the Sertão, and elsewhere to all the the nations of the Earth.

JUVEP MissionContribute to the evangelization of the less reached peoples in the Brazilian Northeastern Sertão region through the mobilization and training of Christians in cooperation with the local church and other evangelical institutions.

JUVEP Vision To be the best at evangelization of the less reached peoples of the Northeastern Brazilian Sertão and to train and develop committed workers for cross-cultural evangelism worldwide.

JUVEP Focus

.

1. Strengthening the Kingdom of God in the Sertão of Northeastern Brazilian through church planting and church empowerment;

2. Development of Godly workers that are well prepared to serve amidst the harsh challenges of the Sertão;

3. Sending of missionaries to the land of the Sertão with special attention to neglected minority populations of the Sertão and worldwide.

TEACHING

Center for the Preparation of Missionaries (CPM)

The CPM offers both single and transcultural missionary preparation, emphasizing Godly life, integrity of character, emotional health, academic excellence, and effective ministerial practice. Russell Shedd Theological Seminary

Offers theological preparation for pastoral ministry and missions, as well as for Christians who want a biblical deepening to better serve God.

TEACHING

.

Theological Seminary in the Sertão (Itaporanga, PB) Theological Seminary in the Sertão (Sousa, PB)Both aim at training the workers who are from the Sertão in the Sertão to serve in the Sertão. These are low-cost schools tailored to provide solid theological teaching for Godly people not equipped for big city seminaries, but willing to serve the Sertão.

CHURCH PLANTING

.

Project MissionaryIt is a short-term mission event that takes place in January and in July in a targeted city with up to 5% evangelicals. JUVEP mobilizes volunteers from all over Brazil to form a 23 day evangelistic blast to saturate with town with the gospel. A new church is planted by a major denomination as the finale, often Baptist or Presbyterian.

Radical SertãoIt is a missions project directed to the rural area of the Northeastern Sertão that has up to 2% of evangelicals. This event lasts 18 months and targets the minority peoples of the Northeast.

CHURCH PLANTING

.

BRING the Gospel through the planting of churches to all indigenous peoples not yet reached in the Northeast of Brazil.

HAVE all the indigenous peoples of the northeast with church planting initiatives underway in the next ten years.

MOBILIZE forces together with the NortheasterN church to support the missionary challenges of the Northeast indigenous. Support incipient missionary work in need of help. Contribute to transformational social projects that are consistent with biblical principles, sustainable and that empower the native peoples. Support the preparation, sending and shepherding of indigenous people workers.

SOCIAL ACTION

.

Community DevelopmentThis department leads social action in the Northeastern Sertão, for example, drilling of wells, underground dams, lectures in the area of drug prevention and other educational actions done through children's schools.

Juvep Kids

Leadership training for working with children. This ministry affects João Pessoa, the Northeastern Sertão and some Latin American nations.

PREPARATION, SENDING AND CARE OF MISSIONARIES

.

MISSIONARY MOBILIZATIONPrepare and conduct recruiting events intended to awaken people to the vital call to cross-cultural mission work. Recruit new candidates to participate in JUVEP training and mission projects.

DECM – Department for Sending and Care of Missionaries

Prepare missionaries for special transcultural challenges and send them into the field. Provide ongoing shepherding care for the missionaries in the field that are affiliated with Missão Juvep.
