Dr. Amit Verma Dr. Amit Kumar Verma is cur-rently Assistant Professor in the Department of Mining En-gineering at prestigious Indian School of Mines Dhanbad, In-dia. He has obtained his PhD degree from Indian Institute of Technology-Bombay, India and worked at several renow-ned institutes across globe like 3S Laboratory, Grenoble, France and University of Cali-fornia Davis, USA. He is work-ing in the area of rock science and engineering particularly rock mechanics related to un-derground waste disposal. Dr. Verma has published more than 70 papers in peer revie-wed journals and national and international conferences. He is member of reviewer board of several SCI journals. He has to his name several presti-gious awards and research grants.
