In the context of the discussionson the regulation proposals on ve-terinary medicines and on medicatedfeeds, the Luxembourg Presidencyof the Council, the European Com-mission and the FESASS are plea-sed to invite you to the internationalconference "Farmers and veterina-rians together to tackle antimicrobialresistances”.

The antimicrobial resistance isa significant global animal andhuman health threat. In the Union,the European Institutions and theMember States lead public actionplans to reduce this threat. Collec-tively and individually farmers and

veterinarians, fully aware of therisks, work together toward thesame goal. Their professional or-ganizations developed specific pro-grams, often in partnership withpublic authorities. It is essential tolearn from these concrete actions.

This international conference willprovide a valuable exchange plat-form on the progress made in theframe of the Commission's 5-YearAction Plan on AMR and will seekto promote effective partnerships.
