TOP TRAVELLING AND SHOPPING PERIODS
HIGH TRAFFIC and shopping month MEDIUM TRAFFIC and shopping month LOW TRAFFIC and shopping month
January remains a high-spending month for Russian shoppers, due to the Orthodox
Christmas period.Chinese New Year in 2020 will fall at the end
of January (rather than in February, as in 2019), which implies an increase in spending among Chinese shoppers during this month.
June should be a high-traffic month for Gulf
countries nationalities, as Ramadan ends on 23 May, rather than at the beginning of June as in
2019.
July and August are high-spending months for all our nationalities,
except South East Asian shoppers, for whom it is a more average month. July is the starting month of school
holidays for Chinese, Gulf countries, US and Russian students. In most of these countries, school holidays last
throughout July and August.
Historically April is a high-traffic period for South East Asian
nationalities in Europe.
October is usually a high-spending month for Chinese tourists in
Europe. This peak is due to the Chinese celebrating Golden Week
(1-7 October).
