Internal Quality Assurance Cell
INTRODUCTION
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell was established on 1.10.2002 as an internal agency to enrich the quality of
the institution in all the aspects
Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) is the quality assurance mechanism of the college. It is a facilitative
and participatory organ of the institution. Maintaining the momentum of quality consciousness is crucial for the
Internal Quality Assurance Cell. It is conceived as a mechanism to build and ensure quality in the institution. It
has a specific structure and works with enough flexibility to meet the diverse needs of the stakeholders. The
IQAC is meant for planning, guiding and monitoring Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Enhancement (QE)
activities of the institution. It channelizes and systematizes the efforts and measures of the institution towards
academic excellence. It is the driving force for ushering in quality by working out intervention strategies to
remove deficiencies and enhance quality.

13.9.2012 The Advisory committee meeting of IQAC was held. Dr. Selvam, Professor

University, Karaikudi and Prof Sathik , Correspondent, Hairathul Jalaliya Hr.
Sec. School attended the meeting as external experts and gave suggestions for
the betterment of IQAC
27.09.2012 The IQAC was audited by Mr Prem Anand of Quality Austria as part of ISO

29.11.2013 Proposal was sent to Maulana Azad Education Foundation to organize
Maulana Azad Memorial Lecture and Awareness Programme.
30.01.2014 In Collaboration with the Department of Psychology, A Proposal was sent to
Indian Council of Social Science Research for organizing one day National
seminar in the topic “Best Practices in teaching and quality assessment at
college level”.

Alsana, Data Entry Operator c@mpit, participated in awareness programme /
training programme under Immigration Visa Foreigners Registration and
Tracking (IVFRT) organized by District Police Office at Syed Ammal
Engineering College, Lanthai, Ramanathapuram
19.08.2014 A one day Educational Exhibition cum career guidance 2014 was organized
for school students. Dr.S.Sumayaa, Principal of TBAKC opened the
exhibition. 250 students from various schools of Ramanathapuram district
(St.Andrews Girls Higher Secondary School, Ramanathapuram,
Government Higher Secondary School, Ervadi, Hairathul Jalaliya
Higher secondary School, Kilakarai, Hameedia Girls Higher Secondary
School, Kilakarai) visited the exhibition and all the departments.
Dr.S.Dinakaran, M.Sc., M.Phil., Ph.D., Associate Professor & Research
Supervisor, Department of Zoology, The Madura College, Madurai gave a
lecture on Higher Education.
15.10.2014 Internal Quality Assurance Cell was audited by Mr. M. Krishnamoorthy,
Quality Austria. The highlights and events organized by IQAC was discussed
04.11.2014 Indian Council for Social Science Research, Southern Regional Centre,
Hyderabad sponsored A one day National seminar on Best Practices In
Teaching And Quality Assessment At College Level was jointly organized by
the Internal Quality Assurance Cell and the Department of Psychology. 100
100 faculty members from various institutions were participated.

participated in a one day workshop on the topic “Higher Education Quality
planning: Models and Measurement” organized by Internal Quality
Assurance Cell, Alagappa University, Karaikudi
18.12.2014 National Minority Day was celebrated with 150 Students of TBAK College
and the School teachers of Ramnad District. Members from Collectorate,
Ramanathapuram elaborated about the schemes for minority students.
23.01.2015 Publicity Drive was initiated By Dr.S.Mercy, IQAC Coordinator, from
Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Paramakudi. TBAK offering
Courses and job opportunities were explained to 375 students

2016-17 13.04.2016 IQAC and Student Council jointly organize a Programme on voter‟s
awareness for the final year students was organized under the leadership of
Mr. C.Natarajan Disrict Collector, Ramanathapuram. Mr.Ashish Goyal
Observer Election Commission of India spoke on the importance of voting
followed by 2 kids who recited the no of constituencies and stressed the right
to vote.Mrs.Tajunissa Project Coordinator ICDS Thiruppullani accompanied

05.05.2016 IQAC in collaboration with NGO, Peoples Action for Development (PAD)

University, Salem acted as a resource person.
06.09.2016 IQAC Advisory Meeting was conducted in the year 2016 Dr. M.G.
Sethuraman Professor & Head, Department of Chemistry & Director, IQAC
Gandhigram Rural Institute – DU Dindigul District has acted as the resource
person all IQAC members, NAAC Coordinators and Quality Circles
Coordinators were attended the meeting.
17.10.2016 IQAC & Quality circle of staff development organized a one day orientation
programme on the topic, “English language Communication Skills” for the
