Position Title : Performance Analyst Reports To : Performance Manager Location : Sydney / Melbourne Works With : Columbus: Senior Performance Manager, Performance Manager, Performance Executive Aegis: Account Executives, Media Planners Role Overview: The Performance Analyst is in a frontline role reporting directly to the Performance Manager. Their role is chiefly one of providing support to the Performance Manager and to a lesser extent the Performance Executive and Senior Performance Manager. The Performance Analyst is responsible for the implementation of paid search and digital performance campaigns and strategies as directed by the Performance Manager and Senior Performance Manager. The Performance Analyst is further tasked with data collection for reporting purposes and is also responsible for processing and presenting data in a manner that guides account optimisations. The ideal candidate is highly analytical with excellent Excel skills. This person demonstrates a high level of attention to detail and has entry level experience with Search Engine Marketing (SEM). They are proficient at processing and manipulating large volumes of data for the purpose of informed decision making by key stakeholders both within Columbus, Aegis and ultimately, the client. Roles & Responsibilities: INTERNAL: Work to seamlessly execute results-driven performance accounts by working directly with the internal campaign management teams. Analysts should sit in on calls/ meetings that are relevant to the work they have produced or if requested by a senior team member. Share performance learning’s with the wider performance team and discuss potential impact on client programs. Roles & Responsibilities:

potential impact on client programs. Ensure implementation of account tasks delegated via the Performance Manager

and Performance Executive. Behave in a professional manner and build internal relationships. Effectively manage time to ensure all delegated tasks are completed in a timely

manner and reporting, timesheets or set timecard system.

CAMPAIGN MANAGEMENT: Responsible for;

o Keyword research and selection, negatives etc.o Creative Development and trafficking

o Budget pacing and day-to-day budget management – no under or over spends.

o Data collection and reporting draft for Performance Manager review Accurately monitor all campaign aspects and ensure accurate delivery of results.

SYSTEMS: The Performance Analyst is required to learn all of the below systems to

competency level: o Google AdWordso Google Analyticso Facebooko Bid management software: Kenshoo, Marin, Omnitureo BCC

Sound knowledge of all Microsoft Office Systems; Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

KNOWLEDGE & UNDERSTANDING: Sound knowledge of Google & industry products, existing, plus upcoming betas

and new product launches. Good knowledge and understanding of the wider Australian digital media market.

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES: Knowledge of search engines and pay-per-click advertising. Very strong Excel skills Sharp analytical and creative problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent attention to detail. Good interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills. Excellent ability to analyse data and identify trends. Strong listening skills and the ability to be open to new ideas from team members,

co-workers, industry sources and clients. A source of innovation, passion and creative vision.
