Intermediates Warm-Cool-Analogous
Objective: You will mix intermediate colors in order make warm, cool, and analogous colors schemes.
DRILL: 1. Get a cup of water and a
brush.2. Finish your secondary
colors from yesterday.3. Wait for instructions.4. Mix all 6 intermediate
colors with new paint on separate mixing tray.

4. Draw a long rectangle in the middle.

WARM COOL ANALOGOUS
• Write their definitions as we learn them.
Draw a simple line or shape design in the 3 boxes. Use these designs for if you want.
Which is warm and which is cool?
Warm colors are all varieties of red, orange, and yellow. They tend to stand out and they get the viewers attention. They give a feeling of warmth.
Cool colors are varieties of blue, green, and purple. These Colors tend to recede into the background. They give a cold Or calm feeling.
How is analogous different from warm and cool if this is analogous?
•The analogous color scheme uses colors that are adjacent to(next to) each other on the color wheel. •They are similar to each other.•Like an analogy- like or as. Similar.

2. Draw Color Scheme page layout.
3. Label top 3 squares.-WARM- COOL- ANALOGOUS.
4. Draw simple line or shape designs in each.
5. Paint them with the color scheme that it is labeled or use colored pencils or magazine color pieces.
Homework due tomorrow:
1. Find an example of analogous colors:• Where? In a magazine- whole picture
or cut up each color and put them together.
Or on the internet, draw another example and color it!
2. Find the definition of monochromatic colors. Be ready to define it and do an example for your drill tomorrow.• Hint: Where can you find this power
