LEGEND
LATE INTRUSIVE ROCKS
5 Diabase dykes
EARLY INTRUSIVE ROCKS
4a Cedar Lake Pluton: equigranular to microporphyritic granodiorite; minor pink aplite.
4b Crowded feldspar porphyry sills and dykes; foliated to massive biotite-feldspar rocks with > 40% white feldspar phenocrysts.
4c Feldspar porphyry sills and dykes, unsubdivided. 4d Mafic dykes and sills.
METASEDIMENTS
3a Medium to thickly bedded biotite-quartz-feldspar siltstone to medium sandstone; minor coarse feldspathic sandstone; rare pebbly sandstone and pebble to cobble conglomerate.
3b Thinly bedded to finely laminated biotite-quartz- feldspar siltstone, siliceous siltstone, and feldspathic siltstone.
3c Dark grey to black, biotite-rich siltstone and sandstone; siltstone units are thinly bedded, generally in alternation with 3b; sandstone units are massive thick beds.
3d Medium to thickly bedded, greenish-grey, feldspathic to lithic wacke.
3e Dark grey to black, laminated to thinly bedded argillite and slate; commonly with very fine laminations and/or disseminations or pyrrhotite; locally with graphite.
3f Calc-silicate rocks; generally consists of thin beds of green amphibole+calcite; occurs also as ho+qz+cal+mag, and as ho+phlogopite+cal.
3g Massive biotite-quartz-feldspar schist with variable amounts of hornblende (D-20%) and/or garnet {Q-5%).
INTERMEDIATE METAVOLCANIC ROCKS
2a Intermediate crystal-lithic tuff and lapilli-crystal tuff; minor felsic lithic tuff; quartz-feldspar- muscovite-biotite-hornblende schist.
MAFIC METAVOLCANIC ROCK
1a Foliated mafic amphibolite and biotite amphibolite.
1b Pillowed amphibolite, generally with trace to 5% garnet.
1c Massive amphibolite.Id Biotite-hornblende-quartz-feldspar schist.1e Hornblende+garnet rocks of probable volcanic origin.
