What is an interjection, exactly? An interjection is a word or words that show

emotion in our writing.

An interjection is not grammatically related to the rest of the sentence.

An interjection is usually one or two words that come at the beginning of the sentence.

An interjection is sometimes followed by a comma.

Interjections often stand alone!
