Develop an overall campus 15-year Master Plan
for phased implementation. Include design of a
21st century high technology center as the focal
point to the existing campus and incorporate other
improvements to reinvigorate the campus with
improved functionality and security. The exterior of the
6-level, 450,000 SF, Class A building is all glass and is
intended to convey a slick, modern engineering style.

The Interior Design embodies the Harris brand,
incorporating cutting edge trends in work
environments while expressing its corporate
identity. Human interaction and collaboration
are at the core of sharing knowledge, advancing
research and making new discoveries, and
are supported through strong interior design
principles.
The building has the capacity to facilitate a
multitude of tasks. Level one provides a main
entrance lobby featuring two giant video
screens, cafeteria, kitchen, executive dining,
customer experience, conference / training
facility, and a fitness center. These new
environments support the Harris philosophy
of innovation and collaboration, with a strong
overarching customer focus. Developed
through extensive design sessions with all
employees, the facility creates an engaging
sophisticated environment that reflects
the company’s focus on the future while
recognizing its past.
The first floor cafeteria provides a variety of
seating with views of the natural landscape. The
glass facade incorporates sustainable materials
and design features including high performance
glazing, sun shades, double skins, operable
shades and translucent glass to meet and exceed
LEED Gold standards. The glass facade provides
for a bright, comfortable, and open office plan
with plenty of natural daylighting. Level Two
provides mezzanine dining/conference space with
expanded conferencing and open offices.
09BRPH
To support the organizations mission of
understanding and predicting changes in the earth’s
environment, the design reduces the facility impact
on the environment and physically embodies
man’s relationship to nature. Sustainable design
strategies such as natural daylighting, light sensors,
and automated exterior blinds provide an energy
efficiency environmental impact reduction and
indoor air quality.
The new space standards and planning principles
reduce the number of enclosed offices, increase
open office areas, and accommodate easy
reconfiguration for evolving workplace needs.
Typical floors have interior offices and meeting
rooms with glazed fronts, providing access to
daylight for all occupants. With an open plan, lots
of sunlight, and multiple settings for meetings, the
space encourages the collaboration and teaming
that are critical to the company’s creative process.
10BRPH
The interior design encourages physical
and human networks to flourish without
boundaries. The “workplace excellence”
concept featured here emphasizes the vital
role of collaboration in the contemporary
workplace. To emphasize this commitment,
Harris Corporation included a state-of-the-art
workout facility for all their employees. The
Campus Site also promotes employee health
and well being through the future provision of
walking trails and bicycle racks.
The conference center lobby design draws
inspiration from the Harris brand’s heritage while
celebrating the innovative character of their
cutting edge technology. The materials and
details throughout the public space promote the
quality and care that continues to characterize the
Harris brand. A high tech conference center and
smaller break out spaces create a multi-functional
collaborative environment for large events.
Comfortable break out seating areas in the open
spaces are complemented with privacy rooms as
well as smaller conference rooms.
The JetBlue Lodge at OSC serves as not only a hotel but a study center for team members traveling to Orlando to attend the nearby JetBlue University.
JetBlue has a strong visual look which is apparent in
all aspects of the company; their offices, tail fin design,
uniforms, and now, The Lodge at OSC.
JetBlue LodgeOrlando, Florida
13BRPH
Inspired by the bold tailfin designs used on
the planes, and the company’s iconic blue and
white color palate, BRPH Interiors created a
bright minimal space which allowed for bold,
graphic accents. Each floor of this 4-story, 200
room hotel is named after one of the tail fin
patterns and the fin graphics are incorporated
into the signage and wall graphics. The
acoustic panels in the great room are a play off
of JetBlue’s window pane design.
BRPH provided architecture, engineering and
construction administration on Jet Blue’s
Training Support Facility, The Lodge at OSC
(Orlando Support Center). This four-story,
196-room hotel will house more than 7,000
JetBlue crewmembers who visit the training
facility annually for new-hire orientation and
recurrent training.
Although this building was designed for study,
it also reflects JetBlue’s playful nature as well.
Furniture was selected that is not only youthful,
but reflects the aerodynamic lines of the planes.
The facility echoes an airport terminal design
and creates an expansive and open environment
where crewmembers can gather, connect and
celebrate. The 120,000 SF Lodge includes a
full service kitchen and dining area, two large
conference rooms, a buffet restaurant, fitness
center, eight teaming/work rooms and various
outdoor recreational areas. Sustainable features
were incorporated throughout, including recycled
materials, a PVC membrane roof system, low-flow
plumbing, Energy Star appliances, hand dryers, LED
lighting, refillable glass water bottle system, and an
air cooled, chilled water cooling system.
The space was designed to encourage
collaboration and comradery between the team
members by intentionally designing small guest
rooms. The guest rooms have space for private
study while encouraging team members to use
the other amenities of the building. Varying
levels of social interaction while studying are
offered from the most private (guest rooms), to
collaborative (team rooms), to social (great room
lobby).
Employees are encouraged to enjoy the Florida
weather between classes. Outdoor spaces include
fire pits, a swiming pool, as well as outdoor dining
facilities.

Create a first-class facility for Embraer’s clients to
design and take delivery of their executive jet, co-
located with a secured manufacturing facility for
Phenom 100 and Phenom 300 aircraft, on a campus
with runway access to Melbourne International
Airport.
Embraer Manufacturing & Delivery CenterMelbourne, Florida
19BRPH
The design artfully provides solutions for both
product types. The Embraer client experience
is maximized with expansive areas of glass that
accentuate the sense of anticipation for the
building’s approach and provide impressive
views of the showroom within. Interior features
further enhance the client experience with
executive dining, conference and office facilities.
The site placement takes advantage of green
spaces and showcases the natural beauty of
Florida’s indigenous tropical plants in the rich
landscaping. Manufacturing needs are efficiently
met without the campus feeling “industrial.”
As a result of an extensive design charette
with the client, BRPH created a space suited to
welcome clients from all over the world. The
site is accessible by car as well as airplane via
taxiway to the adjacent airport. The interior
design reflects the luxury of the Embraer
product. Finishes such as terrazzo flooring and
a cool neutral color pallet are accented with
warm wood tones and exterior views to create
a seamless balance between technology and
contemporary, timeless, high end design.
BRPH created an architectural showpiece that incorporated corporate culture from Brazil and merged it into an American style without losing identity or values from either culture.
On the inside of this Engineering and Technology
Center, we imagined a unique facility that represented
the design and engineering that goes into developing
an aircraft using clean lines, aerodynamic shapes and
innovative features.

TEXTBRPH paid particular attention to incorporating
Embraer’s company culture into the overall
design. Special design considerations included
organic campus design, site amenities for
outdoor seating areas, technologically-
advanced meeting spaces, and technical
elements such as prototype shops, production
rooms for model assembly, and validation
rooms for structural and avionics testing. The
site has parking for 220 vehicles distributed
throughout in order to preserve existing trees.
Site features also include outdoor meeting
areas, outdoor dining, an entry plaza with
guest parking, and a loading/unloading area.
Within this mega manufacturing facility, we created open areas for team members to work including multiple sized teaming spaces and organized way finding systems.
Design and construct a super-sized multi-purpose
facility with functionality for office, manufacturing
and production supporting the creation and assembly
of the all-new 787 Dreamliner airplane, while
incorporating the Boeing “Future Factory” design
philosophy.

Working closely with our Boeing client, BRPH
created a working environment without
hierarchy. Glass walls and balconies run the
full length of office space providing strong
connectivity between the factory floor and
the Boeing engineers. Connectivity and the
ability to encourage spontaneous, innovative,
collaborative discussions are further emphasized
through the location of all break areas along
the open balcony. The design incorporates
Boeing Future Factory Design Guidelines to
include modular workstation sizes. This design
philosophy of the universal layouts follows a 1 to
7 ratio of workstations to collaborative spaces,
such as conferencing and privacy rooms.
The BRPH design created a state-of-the-art
LEED Gold facility that is five stories tall, 614 feet
wide and 1,030 feet long—about the size of 12
football fields (over 1.2 million SF). Office and
shop functions are located on five mezzanine
levels running lengthwise on either side of
the production core with support functions
strategically located at key intervals along
the ribbon.
To assist with way finding, the factory is divided
into North and South “Hemispheres” with
the factory floor representing the equator.
Signage, artwork, and conference room titles
incorporate major world capitals located in
relation to the layout of the building map.
Color is also used as a way finding element.
Each floor of the office towers has its own
unique color that can be seen from the factory
floor. Another challenge was designing around
the building structure itself. Building elements
such as steel columns and cross beams were
located prevalently throughout the office
tower to support the roof structure that spans
the factory floor. BRPH showcased these
elements as design features to emphasize
achievements in engineering.

The design intent of the lobby is to educate the local
community on the Boeing brand. The client required
the space to encourage the public to learn more
about its people, their program, and promote the
Boeing rich heritage.

The Tour Corridor overlooks the factory
floor and allows clients the opportunity to
witness production first hand. The simplicity
of the design adds interest to the space
without distracting from the tour itself. Use
of monochromatic color ties into the Boeing
brand and visually breaks up the vast length of
corridor. Decorative patterns in the carpet and
sculptural wall elements emulate forms that
are seen in flight and aviation.
The Tour Lobby at the 88-19 facility serves as
the main entry for VIP clients and international
visitors. Boeing branding such as glowing
signage and electronic graphics tell the story
of the company and product. The clean
contemporary design portrays an upscale
aesthetic while allowing the brand to be the
focal point for those who enter the space. A
conference room adjacent to the lobby is utilized
to present product and prepare clients for the
facility tour.

The use of similar themes and design elements create cohesion throughout the Charleston Campus.
The design of the South Carolina Interiors
Responsibility Center (IRC) includes a 240,000 SF
facility to manufacture interior parts for the
787 Dreamliner. An expansive lobby serves as a
gathering point for customers who are touring
the facilities and provides display areas and
direct access into the factory.
To create cohesion between buildings, select
design elements are repeated throughout the
Charleston campus. Some examples of this are
ceiling soffits and clouds that are reflected in
flooring patterns below, curved walls and forms
that emulate an aircraft fuselage and neutral
color palletes that contrast accents of Boeing
branding.
All designs incorporate sustainable attributes
such as environmentally-friendly finish materials,
LED lighting, and harvesting of natural light.

Corporate identity is highlighted through branding that is recognized worldwide.
Boeing branding standards including signage,
graphics, and color are utilized to showcase corporate
identity within the space. Design features such as
lighting, ceiling details, and frosted wall panels add to
the character of the space by pulling in materials and
forms found in aircraft and aviation. The clean and
streamlined interior design is intended to represent
the process and product of Boeing.

Human interaction and collaboration are at the
core of sharing knowledge, advancing research
and making new discoveries. To encourage
chance meetings and interaction, collaborative
and social spaces are given privileged, highly
visible spots throughout the interior space
planning. Flexible workstation clusters with
extra data and power outlets accommodate
changing team sizes.
The “workplace excellence” concept featured here
emphasizes the vital role of collaboration in the
contemporary workplace. With an open plan and
multiple settings for meetings, the space encourages
the teaming that is critical to the company’s
creative process. The building materials integrate
aesthetic values, quality, and sustainability for high
performance, contemporary interior design.

BRPH guided Keysight stakeholders through
the design process to ultimately create the
“Keysight identity” with a performance-based
culture for Innovation, Value, Technology
and Speed-to-Opportunity. End-users were
empowered to manipulate the architectural
components to achieve their unique and
workable environment with adjacencies that
support the creative process.
The modern design responds to Gen-Y needs
with flexible meeting spaces and seating areas
that encourage collaboration and socialization.
Views of the pristine Colorado Springs location
and Pikes Peak were accentuated with
interiors that embraced wood and stacked
stone accents and a neutral color pallet. The
comprehensive master plan entailed a five-
year implementation schedule with phased
construction, including a planned shut-down
and relocation of an existing data center.
Whether grabbing a quick snack or plugging in
for an extended period of time, flexible spaces
are designed to multi-task along with the
users. Power and data are provided abundantly
giving employees the opportunity to work on
their laptops or tablets from a multitude of
spaces. A combination of quiet alcoves, open
countertops, and small conference rooms,
allow users the opportunity to work individually
or collaborate with a group of peers.
A working fireplace creates a warm
environment that feels more like home than
a corporate office. With technology keeping
people in constant contact with their jobs, end
users value a work environment that blurs the
boundaries of home and work as well.
