Publicity Highlights 1. Interface was acknowledged as a “Green Steps” honoree in the “Practice and

Process” category, recognized for its Legacy Projects initiative.

quotes David Oakey on the diverse senior living markets in the U.S., citing the need for

many styles and products for different regions. He also discusses his vision for

Publicity Underway

1. Adapted the Human Spaces press release provided by Tangerine PR for North

American distribution. Worked with P. Mason to have the release and

correspondence translated to French. Distributed materials -- including

infographic -- to 500+ members of the media. Targets included key design and

flooring trade press plus journalists covering wellness/science, business,

features, design and architecture, and green/sustainability interests at local and

national newspapers, general interest news magazines, blogs, onlines, and

broadcast outlets across North America. Additionally, distributed the press

release on PR Newswire in the U.S. along with appropriately translated English

and French versions in Canada.

2. Reached out to Interface’s external experts on biophilic design, including Steven

Kellert and Bill Browning, who might serve as additional interview subjects for

proposed stories on Human Spaces. VP+C continuing to follow up.

3. Provided additional information on Human Spaces to an editor for CANADIAN INTERIORS for posting to CanadianInteriors.com

4. Followed up with a columnist for THE TORONTO SUN, who is proposing a story

on Human Spaces to her editor. Due to internal changes at the publication, the

writer requested that VP+C follow up in mid-April.

5. Provided the full Human Spaces report and infographic in JPEG format to the

editor of THE GREEN LIVING GUY, a blog focused on green living and

technology.

6. Provided additional information and the full Human Spaces report to a staff writer

at the WASHINGTON POST WONKBLOG. VP+C continuing to follow up.

7. Worked with a writer at GREEN LIVING MAGAZINE to incorporate the Human

Spaces infographic in the publication’s July issue. Also working with the same

writer to include Human Spaces in a future issue on the theme of biophilic design

for early next year. VP+C will continue to follow up.

8. Following the Lumber Liquidators “60 Minutes” exposé, provided

recommendation that the team not associate Interface with a story so fraught

with negativity. Instead, focus upcoming press outreach on Interface’s

transparency in its supply chain and manufacturing as a whole. The CBS News

program rarely offers or covers any counterpoint reporting.

9. Drafted text on Interface’s Legacy Projects for submission to FLOOR COVERING WEEKLY’S Green Step awards.

10. Drafted 300-word text based on Julian Treasure's videos on the impact of sound

in the educational environment to submit to SCHOOL PLANNING & MANAGEMENT magazine as a bylined article credited to Keith Duprey.

11. Drafted for review a deep product caption detailing the Silver Linings collection.

12. Learned that Human Nature is up for two ARCHITIZER A+ awards and provided

a link to the internal team to encourage voting.

13. Provided an editor at CONTRACT MAGAZINE with high res images of Human

Nature Hospitality for its Designers Select monthly section.

14. Submitted Net-Works to CoreNetGlobal's Sustainable Leadership Awards in the

Design & Development category.

15. Provided a proposed timeline for optimum press introduction of Microsfera in the

North American market knowing that three additional segment products and

ReEntry news are in the pipeline.
