The Setup•Many astrology readings are general

to the point where they can apply to a broad group of people.

•People do not care about the accuracy of the reading, but use is as a vague guide to help them make decisions.

•Therefore, the reading being unique is not so important.

The Idea•My idea is to give people a “guerrilla”

reading.

•There is a recording of the same, general reading that is played aloud and repeated for every sign. This loops over and over.

•People in the general area here the reading and will wait to hear their sign read.

•The question is if they will realize the repetition of the readings?

The reading• I chose a reading that would apply to most of the population of the area. Busy Faculty and Students.

“Being active will put a smile on your face and help you make a lot of progress in a big project. Action is your aim, and action is its own reward. There is nothing quite like the feeling you get when you ride a wave of momentum all day long -- you will feel like you are invincible among your friends and irreplaceable among your coworkers.”

The Device•The audio device was a small iPod speaker-dock that was hidden in a box to hide it’s purpose. This was then placed in an inconspicuous location.

constantly playing audio.

•The people who did seem to notice, seemed a little annoyed by the recording.

Further Steps•Improve the clarity of the speakers playing the recording.

•Try and find a more captive audience who would have time to notice ambient audio.

•Time it so the audience would not be in a hurry or preoccupied.
