Ekchian Chief Human Resources Officer SUBJECT: LEADERS OF LEADERS LEADERSHIP TRAINING PROGRAMS In January 1999, the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) Leadership Academy established training for entry-level administrators and has since grown to provide training for aspiring, new, and continuing administrators. Currently, the Leadership Academy supports three major programs to recruit, train and support administrators: Principal Leadership Academy, Leadership Excellence through Administrator Development (LEAD) program, and the Master Program Institute. Attached is a brief overview of each of the programs. A presentation will be made at the Committee of the Whole to further explain the programs.
