Intensive Hospitality English Language ProgramOur Intensive Hospitality English Language Program (IHELP) focuses on intensive English learning while also teaching students important hospitality industry terminology and knowledge.
We offer this program to students who need help to fulfil the entry requirements of the Bachelor’s or MSc programs at Glion Institute of Higher Education. Our experienced teachers tailor the course to individual student needs to improve their English grammar, vocabulary, speaking, listening, pronunciation, reading and writing.

Students can undertake the IHELP 15 in London and, on fulfilling the BBA or MSc entrance requirements, continue their studies in London or Switzerland. If a Bachelor applicant completes IHELP 15 in London and achieves the English level required to study in the United Kingdom, he or she must still undertake the Semester 1 Practical Arts curriculum in Switzerland (where it is exclusively taught); but can then, if desired, return to London for the third semester studies.

IHELP 15 – How it WorksAll candidates
Intakes: Spring and Fall 2020
Location: London, United Kingdom
Duration: 15-week language course + 2-week assessment
Hours per week: on average, 23 classroom hours plus 15-20 hours of independent learning
IHELP 15 for Bachelor candidates: designed for students who have min. IELTS 4.5 overall (min. 4.0 in every subcomponent) on application.
Bachelor applicants in the IHELP 15 must achieve min. IELTS 5.5 overall (min. 5.0 in every subcomponent) at the end of the program to progress onto the Bachelor’s program at Glion Institute of Higher Edcation in Switzerland or London, UK. For London, non-EU or EEA passport holders will need to undertake IELTS UKVI: 5.5 overall (min. 5.5 in every subcomponent).
IHELP 15 for MSc candidates: designed for students who have min. IELTS 5.0 overall (min. 4.5 in every subcomponent) on application.
MSc applicants in the IHELP 15 must achieve min. IELTS 6.0 overall (min 5.5 in every subcomponent) at the end of the program to progress onto the MSc programs at Glion Institute of Higher Education in Switzerland or London, UK. For London, non-EU or EEA passport holders will need to undertake IELTS UKVI: 6.0 overall (min. 5.5 in every sub-component).
Visa process for non-EU or EEA passport holders: Applicants who do not hold an EU or EEA passport can apply for a Short Term Study Visa (STSV) to enroll on the IHELP 15. To obtain a study visa in order to progress to the Bachelor’s or MSc programs, support will be provided through the onsite immigration resource.

Inside this small community, you will feel at home with a friendly group of passionate hospitality students and faculty members. On the larger UoR campus, you are part of a large UK university with accommodation, restaurants, student clubs and sports centers.

GLION CAMPUS
A Boutique Hotel School on Top of the WorldGlion is our flagship campus and practical learning center. From the classrooms and restaurants, you can gaze across the deep blue waters of Lake Geneva to see the Swiss and French Alps. It’s located on the mountainside above Montreux, a town that attracts tourists year-round with a beautiful lakeside and shopping district. The school’s buildings are nestled among the village of Glion, creating a small university town with breathtaking scenery.

How to Apply1. Complete the CH or UK
application form and select the IHELP program required.
2. Provide a copy of your IELTS English language level certificate or equivalent.
3. Arrange payment of the program fees.
