Clean Town Cloud has been developed by providing a software portal as well as required hardware (tracking devices) to automate, continuously update, and provide real-time data to the virtual command and control centre, on the end-to-end waste management process. The intelligent platform enables all activities in the process:

• Waste collection vehicles are fitted with GPS-based tracking devices, which are connected with cellular 2G/3G network

• This will be used to track real-time location, from collection to disposal.

• The RFID tags at the first-level collection can be read by RFID (handheld mobile) readers issued to the waste collection staff

• At the transfer station, [handheld mobile] RFID readers issued to the drivers of waste collection trolleys will read the RFID tags fixed to the transfer vehicles - to record the second-level waste aggregation activity.

Solution Dashboard

The solution provides a dashboard for the administrators of the ULB to monitor all these stages of the waste management process. Data can be stored either on the cloud or on-premise data server, and a mobile-enabled monitoring application is provided between waste collection personnel and the MC administrators, inspectors, contractors, and the citizens.

Analytics of waste generated

Waste Generation page provides the following types of data for selected products:

Total waste generation for a selected time frame.

An average of waste generated indifferent sectors.

Waste generation heat map represents waste generation data of selected products on a map using colors codes. Red represents high waste generation, yellow represents moderate waste generation, and green represents low waste generation.

Using these data you can analyse the location where more waste is generated and plan to install new products to manage waste. It also helps in planning the frequency of waste collection in locations

Accessing waste generation data perform the following for accessing waste generation data.

1. On Title bar, from Data drop-down list click Waste Generation.

2. Waster Generation page is displayed.
