The Ideal Choice for Transactional Workers in Enterprises
As a country that boasts one of the world’s youngest populations, India has intelligently leveraged its large and growing population to catapult it into the global league. However, if India has to make the leap from a ‘developing’ country to a ‘developed’ nation, it has to think about how a country with a population of a billion can be transformed into a productive workforce.
The transformation can come when a large part of the transactional workforce starts leveraging the latest technology in terms of hardware and software to boost their individual competitiveness, and thereby their organizations. Intel® Pentium® processor is the classic, reliable processor, ideal for the transactional workers today – it gets the job done and makes sure that they have the computing power needed to deliver to their organization.
Empowering the Transaction Worker with the Intel® Pentium ® Processor
It has been found that organizations
Intel® Pentium® Processor
that do not provide a contemporary computing environment have employees who need smarter PCs to get their work done. Many organizations rely on Intel® Pentium® processor based desktops for satisfying the needs of their transaction workers because they get the job done and deliver the required computing power - this translates into content and productive employees.
Intel® Pentium® Processorin Action
To witness the power of the Intel® Pentium® processor in action, we spoke to Mr. Anil Kumar, General Manager - Information Technology, New India Assurance Co. Ltd. (NIA)* in Mumbai. Mr. Kumar gave a fascinating insight on how his organization uses Intel® Pentium® processor based desktops to support transactional workers who support their customers.
The challenge according toMr. Kumar is to keep customers happy by operating in locations

Mr. LS SubramanianTechnology Consultant, BFSI Industry
where there could be limited power supply available, which is sometimes even less than two hours in a day. This is where the Intel® Pentium® processor power management kicks in. Kumar says that the power consumption is low, the product is rugged and reliability is high. Lesser power consumption means longer UPS support for the desktops at power starved locations. Plus, he added that the Intel® Pentium® processor can work in non-dust free environments and also generates less heat.
The Need for Refreshing PCs
Many firms in India own legacy desktops that require more maintenance, exerting a greater toll on employee productivity and higher equipment costs than the purchase of a new machine. This is the right time to transform your IT infrastructure by using Intel’s latest products. Join the thousands of other organizations who have already done so and are benefiting from lower total cost of ownership, better battery life and faster
performance for business productivity applications overlegacy systems.
A multi-country study commissioned by Intel Corporation last year, showed that on average, small business workers lose more than one work week per year due to old PCs (India was also one of the countries that participated in the survey). Repair and maintenance was 1.5 times more frequent on PCs that were 4 years or older. Businesses today cannot afford such a downtime.
By opting for an Intel® Pentium® processor, your transactional workers will be equipped to quickly serve information, and boost customer satisfaction. An Intel® Pentium® processor based PC will give your transaction workers the opportunity to serve your customers better and help grow their business.

~ Intel processor numbers are not a measure of performance. Processor numbers differentiate features within each processor family, not across different processor families. See www.intel.com/products/processor_number for details.
Intel® QuickPath Interconnect (Intel® QPI) unleashes the parallel processing performance of next-generation Intel® 45nm microarchitectures.
1. Intel® vPro™ Technology requires setup and activation by a knowledgeable IT administrator. Availability of features and results will depend upon the setup and configuration of your hardware, software and IT environment. Learn more at: http://www.intel.com/technology/vpro.
2. Requires an Intel® Wireless Display–enabled PC, tablet, or smartphone, a compatible adapter, and a TV. 1080p and Blu-Ray* or other protected content playback only available on select Intel® processors with built-in visuals enabled. 4K UltraHD support requires a graphics driver update coming in January 2015 and is available on select 5th Gen Intel® Core™ processors. Consult
your PC manufacturer. For more information, see www.intel.com/go/widi.
3. Graphics performance comparison based on measurement of Intel® Core™ i7-5600U vs. Intel® Core™ i7-4600U using 3DMark* Fire Strike 1.2 Overall – a 3D graphics benchmark that measures 3D gaming performance (see footnote 26 for system configurations). Find out more at www.futuremark.com. Software and workloads used in performance tests may have been optimized for
performance only on Intel microprocessors. Performance tests, such as SYSmark and MobileMark, are measured using specific computer systems, components, software, operations and functions. Any change to any of those factors may cause the results to vary. You should consult other information and performance tests to assist you in fully evaluating your contemplated
purchases, including the performance of that product when combined with other products.
4. Battery life comparison based on Intel® Core™ i7-5600U vs. Intel® Core™ i7-4600U (see footnote 26 for system configurations). Battery life is Measured using Full HD Local Video Playback Battery Rundown—measured using Tears of Steel 1080p 3 Mbps H.264 video. Configuration: In the device settings, disable all radios. Disable Intel® Display Power Saving Technology (Intel®
DPST), set up the system to 200 nits screen brightness using a full screen white background, and re-enable Intel DPST. Turn OFF the adaptive brightness setting under Power Options in Control Panel. Set “Dim the display” to never on both battery and AC. Set “Put the computer to sleep” to never on both battery and AC. Wait 15 minutes after boot. Launch the default video player

Risk Factors and Optimization Notice
The above statements and any others in this document that refer to plans and expectations for the third quarter, the year and the future are forward-looking statements that involve a number of risks and uncertainties. Words such as “anticipates,” “expects,” “intends,” “plans,” “believes,” “seeks,” “estimates,” “may,” “will,” “should” and their variations identify forward-looking
statements. Statements that refer to or are based on projections, uncertain events or assumptions also identify forward-looking statements. Many factors could affect Intel’s actual results, and variances from Intel’s current expectations regarding such factors could cause actual results to differ materially from those expressed in these forward-looking statements. Intel presently
considers the following to be the important factors that could cause actual results to differ materially from the company’s expectations. Demand could be different from Intel's expectations due to factors including changes in business and economic conditions; customer acceptance of Intel’s and competitors’ products; supply constraints and other disruptions affecting customers;
changes in customer order patterns including order cancellations; and changes in the level of inventory at customers. Uncertainty in global economic and financial conditions poses a risk that consumers and businesses may defer purchases in response to negative financial events, which could negatively affect product demand and other related matters. Intel operates in intensely
competitive industries that are characterized by a high percentage of costs that are fixed or difficult to reduce in the short term and product demand that is highly variable and difficult to forecast. Revenue and the gross margin percentage are affected by the timing of Intel product introductions and the demand for and market acceptance of Intel's products; actions taken by Intel's
competitors, including product offerings and introductions, marketing programs and pricing pressures and Intel’s response to such actions; and Intel’s ability to respond quickly to technological developments and to incorporate new features into its products. The gross margin percentage could vary significantly from expectations based on capacity utilization; variations in inventory
valuation, including variations related to the timing of qualifying products for sale; changes in revenue levels; segment product mix; the timing and execution of the manufacturing ramp and associated costs; start-up costs; excess or obsolete inventory; changes in unit costs; defects or disruptions in the supply of materials or resources; product manufacturing quality/yields; and
impairments of long-lived assets, including manufacturing, assembly/test and intangible assets. Intel's results could be affected by adverse economic, social, political and physical/infrastructure conditions in countries where Intel, its customers or its suppliers operate, including military conflict and other security risks, natural disasters, infrastructure disruptions, health concerns and
fluctuations in currency exchange rates. Expenses, particularly certain marketing and compensation expenses, as well as restructuring and asset impairment charges, vary depending on the level of demand for Intel's products and the level of revenue and profits. Intel’s results could be affected by the timing of closing of acquisitions and divestitures. Intel's results could be affected by
adverse effects associated with product defects and errata (deviations from published specifications), and by litigation or regulatory matters involving intellectual property, stockholder, consumer, antitrust, disclosure and other issues, such as the litigation and regulatory matters described in Intel's SEC reports. An unfavorable ruling could include monetary damages or an injunction
prohibiting Intel from manufacturing or selling one or more products, precluding particular business practices, impacting Intel’s ability to design its products, or requiring other remedies such as compulsory licensing of intellectual property. A detailed discussion of these and other factors that could affect Intel’s results is included in Intel’s SEC filings, including the company’s most
recent reports on Form 10-Q, Form 10-K and earnings release.
Optimization Notice
Intel's compilers may or may not optimize to the same degree for non-Intel microprocessors for optimizations that are not unique to Intel microprocessors. These optimizations include SSE2, SSE3, and SSE3 instruction sets and other optimizations. Intel does not guarantee the availability, functionality, or effectiveness of any optimization on microprocessors not manufactured by
Intel.
Microprocessor-dependent optimizations in this product are intended for use with Intel microprocessors. Certain optimizations not specific to Intel microarchitecture are reserved for Intel microprocessors. Please refer to the applicable product User and Reference Guides for more information regarding the specific instruction sets covered by this notice.
