• How to go to desktop:

Click the Desktop Tile on the Start Screen.

• How to open the charms:

Move your pointer into the upper-right or lower-right corner, and then move it up or down to click the one you want.

• Ways to return to Start:

With a mouse, move the pointer into the lower-left corner. When Start appears, click in the corner.

With a keyboard, press the Windows logo key .

How to connect to network:

From Windows* 8 UI, you need to open the Settings Charm->Networks, select the network you wish to connect, then enter the network security key, click connect.

From Desktop, you shall click the Internet access icon on the system tray. The rest operations are the same with above.

Installation steps:

1. Copy the install package to the target machine (under Administrator authority account).

2. Double-click the installer (if using the graphical installation).

3. Wait until the Media Camera icon appears on the desktop.

Install & Uninstall

Uninstall steps:

1. Right-click at the Media Camera tile on the start screen, click Uninstall from the bottom menu.

2. Select Intel(R) Education Media Camera by Intellisense and click Uninstall. Click Yes to continue.

1.Change camera settingsYou can set your camera’s brightness, contrast, sharpness, exposure, frame rate and resolution or switch to another web camera.2.Switch between video and snapshotMedia Camera can capture both videos and photos. Press to switch to video mode. Press to switch to snapshot mode.3.Create a video/take a pictureIn camera view, press to start recording, press it again to stop. In snapshot view, press to take a picture.

How to UseRecorder

Select and launch previously recorded files

1.Select previously recorded videos and photosSelect and launch your previously recorded files by double clicking on them in the media pane or drag them to the working pane. The previously recorded files are sorted by date.2.Select files recorded by LabCamThe files recorded by LabCam can also be viewed in Media Camera. Click the drop-down list above the Media pane. The files are divided into folders corresponding to a specific function of LabCam.3.Delete a videoTo delete a video, right-click it’s thumbnail and choose delete. It will prompt you if you really want to delete the selected video. You may open the file in the corresponding folder.4.Camera buttonClick to go back to camera.

How to UseRecorder

Edit previously recorded files

You can resize, cut or change the compound of colors of recorded files. Click the Settings button. The Resize, Cut and Visual settings buttons can only be enabled when you activate a file.1.Resize video/pictureSet the width and height of your media.2.CutCrop to desired size by setting the bounding box on the screen. Click the scissors icon to confirm.3.Visual settingsChange brightness, contrast, sharpness and hue. You can select accept, decline or reset ( it will apply default properties) your settings.4.Load video/imageBrowse to load any previously recorded video/taken pictures.5.SaveClick this button to save your edited file.

1.Set page sizeYou may set the page size by clicking the Page size button and a window will pop-up, where you can adjust the height and width of your project.2.Load/new document2.1 Load an existing Media Camera Presenter project.2.2 Create a new Media Camera Presenter project.3.Insert mediaThere’re 2 methods to insert media:3.1 Click / , browse to open the images /videos. You can also insert the image from your camera by clicking . Use the icon to make a snapshot.3.2 Click to show the module folders. Click each module to choose recorded files from them.
