Custom Fields
• Custom fields are set in the Real Time Datasource– Can be manually manipulated in the custom
database package
– Only certain entities can have custom fields that integrate with Banner
• Example: HS, College cannot have custom fields– College GPA is not integrating with Banner
– Note: Keep field names consistent across multiple applications

Custom Package - BRIM
• Custom fields must be in the Real Time Datasource to populate SRTCSTM
2016 17th Annual PABUG Conference
Custom Package - BRIM• BRIM reads the JSON and inserts a record for each custom field into
SRTCSTM table in Banner• Custom Package specified in BRIM console can then insert or update any
table in Banner using the data in SRTCSTM.• Package is called once per each application pushed to Banner.

Custom Package - BRIM
2016 17th Annual PABUG Conference
Custom Package - BRIM• We used a loop and case
statement to loop through the records and perform different inserts and updates based on the data.

Nightly Process for Academic standing/Advisor
2016 17th Annual PABUG Conference
Nightly Process for Academic standing/Advisor
• Process must be a separate process due to timing.. At the exact moment of push, the sgastdn record has not been created so cannot be updated by the BRIM package

Future Integration Plans
• AXIOM Elite for CRM Recruit (Beta)
– Integrate “talking” of program/campus/bio info between opportunity /person record and Banner
• No changes to application after push to Banner in Recruit
– More robust file imports
• Delivered there is no “suspense” concept for potential matches. Each record is either an exact match or new(creating duplicates).
