Integrated Care Leadership Program Webinar Friday, November 6, 2015 12:001:00 PM “Enrolling in Health Insurance Plans Through the Affordable Care Act” Objectives By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to: 1) Understand how to apply to the Integrated Care Leadership Program 2) Describe the insurance programs available under the Affordable Care Act and insurance marketplace 3) List the qualifications required for the different insurance programs 4) Describe the types of assistance provided under the different insurance programs 5) Understand how an individual or family applies for insurance coverage under the Affordable Care Act Speakers Glenda Wrenn, MD,MSHP is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM). She currently directs the Division of Behavioral Health at the Satcher Health Leadership Institute at MSM and is the Interim CoDirector of the Kennedy Center for Mental Health Policy and Research. After graduating West Point, Dr. Wrenn earned her medical degree from Jefferson Medical College, and trained at the University of Pennsylvania in psychiatry and as a Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholar. Her work explores fostering resilience, mental health help seeking, inter professional education, and culturally centered integrated primary care behavioral health services. Nick Anderson grew up in LaGrange, Georgia. He has a BA in Human Services from LaGrange College and an MSW from the University of Georgia. After graduation he spent the last 9 years in the social work field working in the area of healthcare/coverage. He is currently a Navigator with the Morehouse School of Medicine working on the Insure GA program. Prior to that he spent the last 8 years with Right From the Start Medicaid, the last 3 years as the supervisor for Fulton County and the previous 5 as a Medicaid Eligibility Specialist. Samone Hagins was born in Savannah, Georgia. She has a BA in Psychology with a minor in Spanish from Howard University. She moved to Atlanta after graduation and since then she has dedicated her life to helping underserved people and communities through educating the public on healthy behaviors, and preventive health behaviors in the Greater Atlanta area. Since moving to Atlanta almost two years ago, she has educated thousands of families on the importance of having a medical home and having health insurance in the East Atlanta Region and now looks forward to expanding her reach to the rest of Atlanta and Georgia as a Navigator with the Morehouse School of Medicine Insure GA program.
