Integrated Architecture for Machine Builder PerformanceAddress Market Challenges With Performance And Innovation

Haas Mondomix Haas Mondomix out of the Netherlands uses both ControlLogix® and CompactLogix programmable automation controllers (PACs) on their machines that produce and apply pastry and bakery creams and fillings. Because both PACs feature integrated motion control and use the same design environment, the software is reused for programming both controllers during installation and maintenance.

“To most end users, the processes that occur within the machine are of little interest to them. However, as machine builders, we need to look at it from a different perspective. To us the key aspects are – efficiency, ease of engineering, the ability to reuse software, uniformity and scalability.”

John Bruins, System Developer at Haas-Mondomix

AND Automation When AND Automation helped the SecureTrace consortium, a group of blue-chip companies and academic institutions, create a technology demonstrator to address drug counterfeiting, they turned to the midrange system from Rockwell Automation.

“Allen-Bradley CompactLogix PACs were really well-suited to this application. As you can imagine, there was a huge amount of user created data and, in my opinion, CompactLogix is one of the most capable PACs on the market for handling this type of information. Its suitability to this application meant that we could program the line to do what we wanted it to do as opposed to restricting it to the capabilities of the PAC.”

Andy Hudson, Engineering Director at AND Automation

The difference? Logix technology helps you to achieve:
