Tell me about yourself
I’m a third year Asper student major in Finance. I have done an
actuarial
internship at Allianz last summer. I have assisted my manager in
his experience
studies and also investigated insurance plans. Previously I have
also !or"ed as a
telemar"eter and salesperson. It has helped me to develop
certain s"ills suchcommunication s"ills customer service s"ills and
also to be attention to details.
#ther than that I !as high involved in $eo %lub !hich is a youth
program for
young people to serve the communities. I !as the treasurer for
the &scal year of
'()*+'(), and !on the top treasurer a!ard for the year. For no!
I’m
partcipating in the montreal exchange option competition. It has
allo!ed me to
understand ho! to exercise options and also to understand more
the current
issues at the &nancial industry. #ne interesting fact about
me I can actually
spea" - languages including ng /ad %anto /alay and 0o""ien. 1o
yea that’s
pretty much about me.

First I !ould li"e to learn more about government process and
systems. I’ve
seen that there are nine sta4 !or"ing !ith this division I
believe that it !ould
also be a great learning experience for me. At the same time I
am more than
!illing to contribute my technical and soft s"ills to your

ratio in insurance
sales illustration actuarial cert and Allianz database. 2e !ere

and as"ed to create a template to chec" the div rates. 2e came
out !ith some
ideas and &nalized on the one he proposed. I used the
template to match thedividends payout for one of the insurance plan
and realized that I couldn’t really
match all the rates. I tal"ed to him but he didn’t seem to be
happy because I !as
a junior to him. I sho!ed him the problem and came up !ith a
solution to solve
the issue. /y supervisor !as happy because !e successfully
created a
standardized cash dividend template and prepared the standard of
procedure for
it so that the next person !ho use it could easily understand
!hat !e’re doing.
