Top/Bottom AnalysisThis section displays your top and bottom performing courses and classes. Each graph displays the top performers first, followed by the bottom performers. When analyzing performance, remember to consider the number of evaluations collected to determine if action is warranted.
Top/Bottom Courses:
The graph below shows your top and bottom courses filtered to the Instructor question category from the Post Event evaluation. Use the highest-rated courses to understand your successes. Review the lowest-rated courses to determine approaches for improving performance.
This chart could not be generated, because there is no data in your account for this date range that matches the parameters of the chart. This may be due to the questions on your evaluations or the types of training being measured. For additional information, please refer to the User Guide for this report or contact us at [email protected].

Top/Bottom Classes:
The graph below shows your top and bottom classes filtered to the Instructor question category from the Post Event evaluation. Note that classes are individual instances of courses, taught on a specific date. Use the highest-rated classes to understand your successes. Review the lowest-rated classes to identify opportunities for improving class ratings in the future.

Trend AnalysisThe graphs below display trends based on ratings and number of post-event evaluations. Use these graphs to monitor progress toward goals and identify changes in your performance or activity that warrant further investigation.
Activity Trend:
The trend below shows the number of Post Event evaluations collected for at least six months for each Learning Methodology. This can be used to understand the number of learners you are impacting, and may help you pinpoint where response rates are lower than anticipated. These activity trends can also provide the context for interpreting the subsequent Performance Trend report.

Performance Trend:
The graph below displays a monthly trend of the overall Post Event average of the Courseware, Instructor and Job Impact question categories. Improvements in your performance as an instructor should result in the Instructor average trend line moving up. Downward trends warrant review and could indicate opportunities for improvement in delivering certain courses or to specific segments of learners.
Impacting job performance is the primary goal of most training. The degree to which this is achieved can be heavily influenced by the instructor’s ability to deliver the courseware. By providing on-the-job examples and encouraging discussion and practice in class, the instructor can improve the perception of the courseware quality and ultimately the job impact of the training. If the Courseware and Job Impact trend lines are lower than your Instructor trend line, consider ways that you could change your facilitation to improve those areas.

Next StepsInvestigate Further:
In Metrics that Matter®, you have a number of reports available for investigating the results you see in this report. Here are a few suggestions to get you started:
Quick Question: Filter to a single element (course, instructor, demographic) and include comments to identify strengths and opportunities for improvement. In the Set Preferences area, you can set this report to deliver to you automatically after each class.
Crosstab: Use this report to compare the results of one item by another to pinpoint specific areas for improvement. For example, run a Crosstab report by Course vs. Question Category to see what aspects of each course are rated high or low.
Identify Development Opportunities:
Use the results in this report for continuous improvement and self-development. Be aware of specific areas of instruction that you can improve upon, such as demonstrating knowledge of the subject matter or keeping the learners engaged throughout the class. If there are courses for which you are less skilled at facilitating, find other instructors who have had success in teaching those courses and talk about best practices or audit a class with them.
Communicate Successes:
Share the results with your manager or employer and discuss ways to further leverage your strengths.
