Here I am on a cruise to Mexico with my hubby.I love to cruise. It is very relaxing and I get to visit and find out about new places and meet new people.

This is me holding a 10 month old Capuchin monkey.

New experiences are part of who we are. This is in Roatan, an island off the coast of Honduras. This baby reminded me of a naughty child who wanted my attention, much like my own grandchildren.

We visited the ruins at Al Tun Ha in Cozumel.I really enjoy history and love to think back on what it must have been like to live in other times. It also makes me appreciate all the technology we have in our world today.

What sparks your interest?

What sets your mind to wondering? What time or place would you travel

to if you could?

Feeding an iguana at a reserve in Belize, MexicoI was a little afraid to approach these very large reptiles at first but I soon realized they were not out to eat me. Have you ever felt that way about math? Have you ever been afraid to even try something new? It is possible if you are willing and often worth the effort.

Monument Valley on our way to 4 Corners Area to see Mesa Verde, Arches National Park and Chaco Canyon.I have a deep interest in the American Indians because my maternal grandfather was ½ Cherokee and ½ Irish. His family walked to the Indian reservation in Oklahoma when his father died and the property they lived on in Tennessee was taken away.

El Capitan in Yosemite On our trip to California, we drove down route 1 along the coast and did some whale watching. We visited San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Warf and Alcatraz Prison. And, ended it by going to Yosemite, where a bear ran across the road in front of our car (I wasn’t fast enough with the camera to get a picture of that but will never forget it).

Things I enjoy doing

• Seeing new places• Viewing historic areas• Finding out about different cultures• Playing with my grandchildren• Reading a good mystery novel – solving the mystery• Listening to classical music and the oldies• Teaching• I did not like sushi, but now I do (just needed to try

it the right way)
