II. INSTRUCTIONS TO APPLICANTS/TRAINEES
1. Selection of participants as the trainees in this program is subject the fulfillment
of the Selection Criteria for Trainees of the Systems Optimization Training as
provided;
2. The maximum number of trainees to be accepted for the Train the Trainers
training is 30 pax (max) per session;
3. The selection of trainees will be the sole prerogative of FMM and UNIDO and
any decision made shall be final;
4. Selected trainees MUST ATTEND all trainings as scheduled and failure to attend
will result in the trainee to be delisted or dropped-out from the program;

III. SELECTION CRITERIA FOR TRAINEES OF THE EXPERT TRAINING
A. Minimum requirements
1. Malaysian citizen
2. 3 years of experience working with the particular system or closely related
systems in industry
3. Associate or Bachelor degree in engineering or other technical field
4. Experience in facilitation and project management in energy related field
5. Ability to effectively communicate with management
6. English proficient (satisfactory)
7. Proficient with spreadsheet, word processing and presentation software.
8. Able to attend all training sessions of the System Optimization program
with minimal fees (RM 300/Module for consultants).

B. Preferred criteria (skills/ experiences)
1. At least 5 years working experience in the respective system applications
2. Experience with energy saving improvement projects related to the system
3. Experience with the system measurement and standards
4. Able to demonstrate presentation and training ability/ experience(Preference will be given to registered Electrical Energy Managers)
C. Additional selection criteria
1. Profession
Consultant/ service providers to industry; Academic; Energy/ Plant
engineer in enterprise (manufacturing, utility, other); officer of national
institution with a mandate to develop and implement IEE and EnMS
policies and programs;
2. Motivation for participating in the Systems Optimization trainingLooking for new business opportunity (expanding services offer);
professional qualification (improving curriculum, etc.); fulfill institutional
duties (national energy agency/authority, standard body);
3. Planned use of skills and knowledge acquired through the training
Provision of expert advisory services and technical assistance to
enterprises in developing and implementing EnMS; Development and
implementation of EnMS within companys facilities; Policy-advice and
program monitoring; Provision of training; teaching; research
IV. Trainings List
1. User Training 2 days
2. Systems Optimization (Expert Program) 4 to 5 days
3. Expert Exam - day
Note: Each level of training will be conducted at different timeline.
Note: Each participant for the Expert Program will be given a basic allowance and travel
allowance claimable (with proof/receipt).
