Function of stitch width dial

Function of stitch length dial

The maximum zigzag stitch widthfor zigzag stitching is "5",however, the width can bereduced on any patterns. Thewidth increases as you movezigzag dial from "0" to "5". Fortwin needle sewing, never set thewidth wider than "3".

Set the stitch width dial to "0".

The stitch length is controlled withthe stitch length dial. While "2" or"3" on the dial gives a suitables t i t ch leng th fo r o rd inarypurposes.

Generally speaking the finer thefabric the finer the thread andshorter the stitch length, theheavier the fabric the thicker thethread and longer the stitchlength.

At "0" the fabric will not moveahead, and the needle will keeppiercing the same point.

The density of zigzag stitchesincreases as the setting of stitchlength dial approaches "0".

Neat zigzag stitches are usuallyachieved at "2.5" or below.

Closed up zigzag stitches (closetogether) are referred to as a"satin stitch".

* The walking foot accessory is optional. It isnot included with this machine.

It is easier to guide the fabric and you have abetter view of the seam when using thestandard, regular foot on your machine. Yoursewing machine offers excellent stitch qualityon a wide range of fabrics from delicatechiffons to multiple layers of denim.

The "Walking foot" accessory equalizes thefeeding of the upper and lower layers offabric and improves the matching of plaids, stripes and patterns. This foot helps toprevent uneven feeding of very difficultfabrics.

1. Lift the presser foot bar.

2. Remove the "foot holder" by openingcounter clockwise the presser barattaching screw.

3. Attach the "walking foot" to the machine inthe following way.

I) The fork arm should fit into the needlescrew and clamp.

ii) Slide the plastic 'attaching head' fromyour left to right so that it is fitted intothe "presser foot bar"

iii) Lower the 'presser foot bar'.
