INSTRUCTION BY DIRECTOR OF STUDENT HOUSING
FOR FOREIGN STUDENTS (later on just “student”)
ABOUT ACCOMMODATION AT STU DORMITORIES FOR ACADEMIC YEAR 2020/2021
Due to the prevention of the spread of possible transmitted diseases at the student dormitories (later on just
“SD”) of Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava (later on just “STU”) I am publishing the following
INSTRUCTION

1. The student, who comes to accommodate to SD is required to fill in and sign "Solemn declaration", which
is published on the website:
https://www.stuba.sk/buxus/docs/stu/pracoviska/uz_sdaj/SOLEMN_DECLARATION.pdf
B. STUDENT ARRIVING FROM A COUNTRY, WHICH IS NOT CURRENTLY IN THE LIST OF
THE "SAFE COUNTRIES"
1. Student must:
a) Register in the state system COVID PASS https://korona.gov.sk/en/ehranica/ before the arrival to
the Slovak Republic.
b) Pass the home isolation at STU facility Gabčíkovo (later on just ÚZ Gabčíkovo) or another
facility/accommodation according to her/his choice after crossing the Slovak borders. It cannot
be any SD. Student arriving before the 7th of September has to manage her/ his home isolation
individually.
c) Home isolation is obligatory until receiving the negative result of RT-PCR test for COVID-19, done
in the Slovak Republic. Laboratory diagnosis for COVID-19 has to be done on the 5th day of the
isolation at the earliest. If the test result is positive, the home isolation continues and it is necessary
to follow instructions of the relevant Regional Office of the Public Health Authority of the Slovak
Republic (RUVZ). If the test result is negative, the home isolation terminates and the student can be
accommodated at the SD, where he has a reservation.
d) Coming from the home isolation to the SD, the student has to present the confirmation of a negative
RT-PCR test for COVID-19 done in Slovak Republic.
2. If the Student does not present the negative RT-PCR test, he or she is not to be accommodated at any of
the SD.
3. The Student has to pay the fee for the home isolation at the STU facility Gabčíkovo for:
a) accommodation service 4 € / night / person,
b) all-day diet 13 € / day / person (breakfast, lunch, dinner),
c) testing for COVID-19 around 70 €.
The student has to pay for the accommodation and diet services by cash at the reception of UZ
Gabčíkovo after the termination of home isolation. Obtaining the negative result can take around 9 days
of isolation. For 9 days of home isolation a student has to pay 36 € for accommodation and 117 € for
diet.
After the home isolation the university refunds the amount of food allowance to the student. Food
allowance is 2 meals per day, which means 2 x 1,40 € x number of days that student spent at the UZ
Gabčíkovo.
2
Payment method for RT-PCR test will be implemented according to the instruction of the relevant
Regional Public Health Office.
4. After the termination of the home isolation, on the day of departure from UZ Gabčíkovo, the student is
obliged to accommodate in SD that he or she has reservation in the academic year 2020/2021. The student
will arrange the transportation to the SD on his/her own cost.
