This task is made thanks to the teamwork between the sixth grader's teachers at Ramón de Zubiria School under the leadership of the coordinator Janeth Carvajal. The main purpose is to show some data about the most important aspects from the Orinoquia Region and allow the students to make their own Tourist Guide using them. At the end of the activity the students could invite a lot of people to visit this wonderful place.

La Orinoquia colombiana es conocida también como los Llanos Orientales debido a la extensa llanura donde se ubica y a la cuenca del río Orinoco, el cual se extiende desde los Andes hasta la Amazonía, bañando la mayor parte de esa importante y bonita región colombiana en la cual habitan en promedio 1.240.000 habitantes.

Geografía de la región de la Orinoquia Colombiana se encuentra al Oriente del país y se extiende en promedio 310.000 kilómetros cuadrados, la región de la Orinoquia colombiana comprende los Departamentos del Meta, Arauca, Casanare y Vichada La región del oriente colombiano se extiende desde el pie de la cordillera occidental hasta el río Orinoco y desde el río Arauca hasta el Río Guaviare.

The Eastern Plains, also called the Orinoquía, is one of the six natural regions in Colombia and is located in the east of the country. It covers approximately 28% of the Colombian territory and consists mainly of the four departments Arauca, Casanare, Meta and Vichada. Also some parts of the departments Guainía and Guaviare are regarded as part of Orinoquía.

In the region lives an estimate of 1.240 million habitants. he Orinoquía extends from the Eastern Cordillera to the Orinoco River and from the Arauca River to the Guaviare River in the Amazon. The most important rivers of the region, which also border in some parts with Venezuela are the Guaviare, Meta, Vichada, Tomo, Arauca and Casanare.
