ACT has not been quiet on its displeasure with SAT using the old concordance to build a bridge to the new SAT2 test

“To arrive at the ACT concordance, the College Board appears to have used a technique called “chained concordance,” which makes links between the new SAT and the old SAT, and then from the old SAT to the ACT. It therefore claims to be able to interpret scores from the revamped SAT relative to the tried-and-true ACT.”

We pivoted rows from STUD_GPA_HOUR to columns on this table for cum and term values so that those values are all available in one row per student per level of study

Acad_persistence long study users will now use these tables BOR reporting, 4-yr report Tracks enrollment history and graduation history of students that were enrolled or

are enrolled at Iowa Data back to fall cohort of 20033 Cohort consists of admission handling codes A & B(first year and transfers) who

have not received a bachelors Batch process runs nightly to populate empty acad_persistence fields; once a field

is updated that field is never updated again Once student earns a degree we stop tracking We do load data from clearinghouse for non-returners who receive a degree from

another institution DEGR_YEAR_NBR Tables are designed so that other cohort reporting is possible such as spring cohorts
