Three Semesters Course15 Science Post graduate and Graduates from Medical & Engineering
Supported by NCSTC (National Council for Science & TechnologyCommunication), DST, Government of India, Delhi.
In 1998, the course was modified: Eligibility was brought to the level of UG in Science, Medical and
Engineering.
Duration of course from 18 months was changed to two years consisting offour semesters.
Incorporation of topics like : Information Technology, Public relation,Computer application in Mass Communication : Reporting, Writing,Editing, Media laws, advertisement, Audio visual projects & dissertation
Four semester (two years)full time course.
Number of seats : 30
Degree of M.Sc. (Mass Communication in Science& Technology).
Eligibility for Admission : Bachelor’s degree inScience/Engineering/Medicine with minimum of 45%marks in aggregate.
THE COURSE
OBJECTIVESTo prepare professional Science communicator, who could
design, maintain and manage systems that ensure smoothflow of information among science, Technology, Industry andsociety. This will also help in: Popularization of Science & Technology Communication. Stimulation of Scientific temper in the society. Science & Technology Planning . Adoption of Technological changes.

Research ActivitiesStudents are involved in research activities to expose them to research in the discipline.
About 60 papers presented in national andinternational conferences.
Hosted the 1st Indian Science Communication Congress.
Best paper award - 5th Indian Science Communication Congress
