Instructions on the WordPress.org web site:

Step 1: Download and extract

Step 2: Create the database and a user

Step 3: Set-up wp-config.php

Step 4: Upload the files

Step 5: Run the Install Script

Install to Web Hosting Server:

Step 1: Download and Extract

Download WordPress from wordpress.org

Extract folder in the same location

Step 2: Create Database and a User

Sign-up for a free 000webhost account

Sign-in and navigate to MySQL

Fill-in the database values and maintain a record of the information

Install to Web Hosting Server (Cont'd):

Step 3: Set-up WP-CONFIG.PHP File

Take a copy of the wp-config-sample.php file and rename it to wp-config.php

Edit wp-config to receive the MySQL values

Save and close the file

Step 4: Upload the Files

View the FTP details in cPanel

Use FTP client to upload WordPress files

Browse to the installation scripthttp://{domain}/wp-admin/install.php

Install WordPress

To log in to WordPress go to:http://{domain}/wp-admin
