Disconnect ground strap, retain nut for install, at arrow in Fig-
ure 1.
Disconnect valve vacuum hose, at arrow in Figure 2.

Step 2
A cut will need to be made at the service locations marked by a
dimple on the tubes, at arrows in Figure 3.
Remove the nuts securing the front exhaust hanger to aid in re-
moval, and then remove the rear muf@er assembly.
Prep the cut end of factory mid section by de-burring the cut
edges and cleaning the exterior of the tubes.

Insert supplied vacuum plugs into the factory vacuum lines, as
shown in Figure 4, and tuck them above the heatshield.
Place supplied 80mm clamp on inlet of each rear AWE Tuning
section and slip the section over the factory mid section. Re-
install hangers and bolt down the clamps.
Install tip sections onto AWE Tuning rear sections using sup-
plied v-band clamps. Install gasket between tip section and
rear section and then fully tighten v-band clamp nut to seat
gasket. Loosen v-band clamp nut to allow adjustment move-
ment.
Install tips onto each tip section using supplied t-bolt clamps.
Adjust tip depth/stagger to suit, and center the tip assemblies
by rotating around the v-band joints. Once aligned, fully tighten
the v-band clamp nuts with an impact gun. Use hand tools to
tighten tip t-bolt clamps.
Reinstall the grounding strap using the factory nut.

Once installed properly, your AWE Tuning exhaust will provide a lifetime of trouble free performance.
Please note that the rear 180 Technology™ resonator has a small drain hole to allow condensation to es-
cape. Water drops from this area are normal.
Also, please note that the exhaust volume and sound will settle with usage. 800-1000 miles is typically re-
quired to fully break in a new exhaust system.
Periodic cleaning of exhaust tips is necessary to maintain proper :nish, especially in areas prone to road
salt and caustic deicing solutions. Use a mild soap and water solution or car wax to clean the :nish.
Avoid using metal polishes, as they can scratch the :nish.

Secor Ltd. (AWE Tuning) warrants to the original retail purchaser (Consumer) this product (2011+ BMW M5
Touring Edition Exhaust), from date of original purchase, against manufacturing defects for:
ONE YEAR on tip :nish
LIFETIME on balance of parts
Upon veri:cation of warranty coverage, AWE Tuning will repair or replace the defective product at their
discretion, without charge. This is the only remedy the Consumer has for any loss or damage, however
arising, due to nonconformity in or defect of the product. This warranty does not cover consequential
damage, loss of time or revenues, labor costs, shipping costs, inconvenience, loss of use of vehicle, dam-
age to the vehicle or components, or other incidental or indirect damage.
All warranties are void if the product was not installed by a certi:ed auto mechanic, improperly serviced,
modi:ed, or used in a way not intended by the Manufacturer. Use of product in Motorsports or Racing
conditions is grounds for warranty denial. Motorsports and Racing is an inherently abusive operational
condition, and it is impossible to warranty for this type of usage.
The Consumer is responsible for ensuring that the product is installed in a safe and proper manner, and
should cease usage of the product immediately if an unsafe or improper condition is noted. If an unsafe or
improper condition is noted, the Consumer should then immediately contact the facility where the product
was installed or AWE Tuning directly.
