COMMON MISTAKE IS INSTALLING UGLY HEAD ON SHAFT UPSIDE DOWN – please refer to diagrams closely

1.) Unscrew knob & remove ONLY the knob, spool and spring. (Leave spool housing on trimmer)

2.) Identify which nut OR bolt easily threads onto your trimmer.

3.) Insert the plastic ADAPTOR CUP into the original spool housing, cover with metal washer.

4.) Insert identified nut or bolt into the recessed cavity of the Ugly Head.

5.) Hold nut or bolt in place with finger and turn Ugly Head to snug entire assembly. Do not overtighten!

1.) Unscrew knob and remove entire trimmer head assembly.

2.) Unscrew SHAFT EXTENSION to expose primary shaft.

3.) Identify which nut from the package threads easily onto the shaft.

4.) Place identified nut into recessed hex cavity of the Ugly Head.

5.) Hold nut in place and securely tighten the Ugly Head onto the shaft by turning the head.

1.) Unscrew and remove the bump knob, spool and spool housing. 2.) Identify which bolt easily threads onto your

trimmer spindle. Stihl FS35/FS36 need additional hardware. Please email [email protected] for help. 3.) Place large

STEEL WASHER down over spindle resting against hex. 4.) Depending on the length of your spindle, you may now

place large black spacer (use grey spacer for FS45/38 models) down over spindle resting against washer - this will stop any movement when fitting. Eg: Earlier Homelite models. 5.) Insert correct bolt into the plastic HEX ADAPTOR - then

place inside Ugly Head. 6.) Turn Trimmer Head to tighten the assembly. Hold the spindle hex with shifter and

securely tighten. ¼ to ½ turn depending on your model line trimmer. Do not overtighten NB: BEFORE CONTACTING SUPPORT – MAKE SURE YOU ARE NOT FITTING THE HEAD UPSIDE DOWN!
