Due to build up of static electricity, only power transmission beltsconstructed to meet test requirements of the RMA TechnicalBulletin on static conductivity (IP3-3/1995) should be used inhazardous or explosive atmospheres, and all drive elements mustbe properly grounded. Any application involving such use shouldbe reviewed with the HBD/Thermoid Technical Department beforepurchase or use.

Do not use HBD/Thermoid power transmission products on aircraftpropeller or rotor drive systems or in-flight drives. HBD/Thermoidpower transmission belts are not designed or intended for aircraftuse.

MaxipowerTM

A premium construction wedge-type, multiple drive belt thatprovides equal power transmissioncapacity in less space than ordinarymultiple type belts. And it’s oil-resistantand static conducting* at the same price.Operates at speeds up to 6500 FPM.Sizes 3V, 5V and 8V sections.

Prime Mover Bandedand Cogged BandedPremium Prime Mover V-belts arebanded together to form a unitizedbelt set. Individual V’s are spaced topermit it to operate in regular multiple beltsheaves. This construction prevents beltwhip and turnover under pulsating andshock loads. Cogged banded also available.

MaxipowerTM BandedPremium Maxipower V-belts arebanded together to form a unitizedbelt set. Individual V’s are spaced topermit it to operate in regular multiplegroove 3V, 5V, 8V sheaves. Thisconstruction prevents belt whip andturnover under pulsating and shockloads. PowerPlus Maxiband® V-Belts withKevlar reinforced cord are also available.

Prime Mover CoggedA premium construction belt fortough applications. Cogged beltsoffer great flexibility and increasedcapacity of a drive system.

MaxipowerTM CoggedThis belt delivers maximumefficiency on small sheaves. Its rawedge cogged narrow wedge constructionis excellent for use with high speedmotors.

FHP and PowerPlusTM

For light duty service FHP offers cool,quiet operation and long service life.Because of its polyester cord construction, it will not shrink or stretch. It’s oil resistantand static conducting,* all at a standardprice. For heavy-duty service, PowerPlusbelts with Kevlar cord are available.

Multi RibbedMore power per inch of drive widthbecause on drives where multiple V-beltsare required, you eliminate the free spacebetween belts. Provides about threetimes the traction area of a flat belt ofequal width. This belt is thinner, giving itbetter flexibility, reducing internal heating.

V-LinkAn open-end belt that doesn’trequire metal fasteners, for usewhere obstructions prevent use ofendless belts. Can be quickly and easilyinstalled without dismantling a drive.Available in Prime Mover cross-sections.

Open End BeltingFor drives not easily accessible toinstall endless V-belts, or foremergency use. Required length iscut off and its ends joined by a metalfastener.

NovexThis lightweight, versatile poly-urethane belt has a unique designand side angle construction thatallows for small sheave diameters,greater speed ratios and shorter centers.

Kevlar CordWe recommend our PowerPlusTM

line, or Kevlar reinforced A and Bsections which are stock items,since steel cable Prime Mover belts areno longer available. Kevlar reinforced Cand D sections are special order items.PowerPlus A’s and B’s, along with KevlarC’s and D’s, offer higher heat resistancethan steel cable and minimal stretch.

Double VUsed where a series of shaftsrotating in opposite directionsmust be driven from a singlesource of power. Either side of thebelt can be used as a driving surface.

Timing belts with driving teeth onboth sides make it possible to changethe direction of one or more synchronizedpulleys with only one belt. The inside andoutside teeth are identical as to size andpitch.

SYNCHROBELT

Functions like a timing chain orgear. Precision-molded teeth engage themating axial grooves on pulleys, enteringand leaving the grooves in a smooth,rolling manner with negligible friction.Highly versatile in application, load andspeed range. Also available in Mini-Pitch.

Variable SpeedFor drives where variable speedcontrol drives and mechanisms areemployed. Belts’ transverse rigiditygives it excellent gripping action withoutcrosswise distortion.

Metriflex®

Made to strict European tolerancesand specifications to assure a highly-accurate fit for metric drives. Sizes XPZ,XPA, XPB, SPC.
