Install EndNote for pc/windows Visit https://www.alfasoft.com/no/nih and fill in your name in the field Navn and NSSS-email-address

(@student.nih.no) in the field Epost, and click "Send":

You get his screen (receipt):

Within 1 hour you will receive an email with a link to the installation-file – click the link.

It depends on which browser you use, but usually the download will start automatically. In this instruction we have used Google Chrome. The folder with the installation-file will be visible in the lower left corner in your browser. You have to extract/unpack the folder – do not just open it.

Click the arrow and chose "Show in folder":

The folder is opened.Right click at the folder endnotex8.zip and chose "Extract all..." or "Pakk ut":

In this window you click "Extract":

Double click the file ENX8Inst.msi to start the installation:

Click "Run":

Click "Next":

Click "Accept":

Click "Next":

Click "I accept the license agreement" and then click "Next":

Click "Typical" and then click "Next":

Click "Next":

Click "Next":

Click "Yes" if you get a question about allowing the program to install software:

The installation will start, and after a while you get this screen where you click "Finish":

You’ll find EndNote by clicking the "Windows"-icon in the lower left corner of your screen:

Then you get a list of programs on the computer and can click EndNote:

The first time you open EndNote, you can get a question about updating the program. Click

"Download and Install":

Click "Yes" if you get a question about allowing the program to install software:

The installation will start, and after a while you get this screen where you click "Finish":
