Install Cisco AnyConnect (VPN) on Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks

1. Open any browser on the Mac and visit:

https://cuvpn1.creighton.edu

Note: this website is not accessible while on the Creighton network!

You are presented with a Login dialog box. Enter your NetID and password. Click Login

2. You are prompted with a security warning. Click Continue

3. Automated installation process will begin

4. Automated installation may not always succeed and you will be prompted to install manually. Click

the link Mac OS X 10.6+ (Intel) to download

5. The file begins to download

6. The file will save to your default download location (usually Downloads). Double click the .dmg file

7. A new window opens. Double click the “vpn.pkg” file

8. You are prompted to select a destination. Choose your local hard drive (often listed as Macintosh

HD) and click Continue

9. The installer starts, click Continue

10. You are presented with the Software License Agreement. Click Continue

11. Click Agree

12. Click Install

13. The install process begins and you are prompted for your password. Enter a username and

password that has local administrator rights on the Macintosh. Click Install Software

14. Installation begins

15. When installation completes, click Close

16. Cisco AnyConnect client is now installed

To launch the AnyConnect client, please follow these steps:

17. Open Applications. Open the Cisco folder

18. Click the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client icon

19. Click Connect

20. You are prompted for your NetID and password. Click OK

21. Click Accept

22. You are now connected

23. The Cisco AnyConnect icon will display on your dock, and menu bar

24. To disconnect, select the Cisco AnyConnect icon from the menu bar and click Disconnect
