• Discussion on 14 Oct 2004 under Dutch presidency• Co-decision process between Council and EP until

beginning 2007• adoption of INSPIRE framework Directive• In parallel: practical preparation of implementation:

– detailed rules to be fixed by 2007 - MS can immediately implement

– ongoing initiatives need orientation: WFD, PSI e.a.

• After adoption: transposition (2007-2008) and implementation (2009-2013)
