    INSPIRE-BCC is a (not for profit) community interest company

    founded in early 2011 to promote and support positive activities

    for children, young people and communities.

    Positive activities include a wide range of formal and informal op-portunities and experiences for children and young people aged 0

    -19yrs (25yrs disabled young people) to participate in.

    INSPIRE-BCC are committed through their work to support com-

    munities to become strong dynamic places in which every mem-

    ber feels proud to reside and every resident has a part to play.

    Infor-Tender 1-Youth provision

    Brief description of how this service will be provided:

    Inspire-BCC proposed service would compromise 3 open access sessions

    per week. Sessions will primarily be centre based but with activities con-

    ducted throughout the local community. Inspire-BCC recognise the curren

    challenges that our C&YP are facing, the uncertainties, unfamiliarity and t

    changes that future provision may offer. C&YP will be encouraged to consi

    er the future development of youth provision across Pill, Easton in Gordanand Ham Green, to participate, to take ownership and to take responsibilit

    Inspire-BCC work with children and young people to ensure their needs ar

    met while ensuring we support and deliver a flexible and realistic pro-

    gramme of activities, utilising existing and seeking new opportunities.

    Inspire-BCC believe that young people have a right to have their views ta

    en into account in all decisions that affect their lives. Inspire support youn

    people to have a stronger voice and celebrate their positive contribution a

    achievements by:

    Increasing social inclusion and levels of responsibility of young people

    through involvement in youth forums, service design and development

    Improve relationships and the perceptions of young people in the wide

    community.

    Enhancing young peoples personal development including motivation

    and sense of achievement, confidence, self belief and pro-social behav

    iour.

    Empowering young people to have an increased belief in their ability to

    create change and levels of control over elements of their lives.

    Improving literacy levels, gain practical skills, increasing positive caree

    choices and employment prospects.

    Inspire-BCC are committed to promoting equality, embracing diversity and

    people. Our key objectives fall into 2 categories:

    General duties:

    Support staff to be informed and confident.

    Create recruitment and development opportunities that support our

    overall aim of valuing diversity and promoting difference.

    Use our influence to ensure youth provision meet the diverse needs ofchildren and young people.

    Enable accessibility (including buildings, services & information) for all.

    Specific duties:

    Provide guidance, policies and tools that develop practice and promoteequality.

    Ensure the services we deliver meet the diverse needs of children andyoung people.

    Infor-Tender 1-Youth provision

    Times of operation:

    Our youth provision is available Monday to Friday, with sessions available

    weekends between the hours of 9 & 6pm - as required by the children and

    young people.

    During school holidays our delivery hours extend from 9am - 9pm Monday

    to Friday, offering flexibility dependent on programme and interests.

    Cost breakdown per session:

    We feel it is important to support the transition period for the changes

    to youth provision that we have a higher adult - child ratio initially. It is

    envisaged that after the first few months this can be reduced to 2

    members or be supported by community volunteers bringing session

    cost to 146.00.

    (This cost includes 10 volunteer expenses per session)

    Inspire-BCC support young people in applying for additional funding to

    enhance their youth programme and to enable specific activities and

    projects to be delivered.

    Brief description of how this service will be provided:

    In order to minimise the uncertainties, unfamiliarity and changes of future

    provision Inspire - BCC will be enlisting a minimum of 1 existing staff mem

    ber to support delivery, therefore promoting continuity of service provision

    and maintaining positive relationships. C&YP will be encouraged to conside

    the future development of the drop-in, to participate, to take ownership a

    to take responsibility. Inspire-BCC will continue to work with children and

    young people to design, support and deliver a flexible and realistic pro-

    gramme of activities promoting a needs-led service.

    Infor-Tender 3 Outdoor Activities

    Brief description of how this service will be provided:

    Inspire-BCC are committed to provide a high quality community based ser

    vice which is child and needs-led. Our team are dedicated in promoting an

    supporting positive activities for children and young people while developin

    links and liaising with existing and emerging providers in the local commu-

    nity.

    It is our intention to maintain and develop (in consultation with C&YP) exis

    ing provision, promoting further engagement and community participation

    Inspire-BCC will continue to build on existing relationships and partnership

    within the local community to promote additional community use of the

    playpods and to further broaden our initial delivery. In addition to offering

    open access sessions, sessions will be offered to other community groups

    and families to encourage active use of outdoor spaces by all community

    members.

    There will be flexible service delivery including use of the existing youth

    club space to provide services afterschool, at weekends and during school

    holidays. This supports the development of a space for all children and

    young people, encouraging shared resources and supporting transitions to

    other groups within the community.

    Our mobile van offers a versatile, flexible and adaptable service enabling u

    to provide services to the wider community including childrens centres,

    schools, community groups, local housing estates and supporting commun

    ty events.

    We will continue to build our volunteers encouraging new opportunities and

    experiences for children & young people in addition to supporting our day t

    day delivery.

    Infor-Tender 3 Outdoor Activities

    Sample of activities: (subject to consultation with children & young people)

    Bike project - maintenance and rebuild of bikes donated by Avon &

    Somerset Police. We are hoping to work with the YOT in the develop-

    ment of a bike project to support victims of bike crime.

    Streetgames - Inspire have been invited to work in partnership with All

    ance Homes and NSC on the launch of the streetgames project in June.

    HEALTH AND SAFETY - INSPIRE - BCC will at all times operate with t

    highest regard for the healthy and safe implementation of their work, a

    will undertake each collaboration having carried out a thorough Risk Bene

    analysis of the work involved beforehand and as each project develops.

    an up to date CRB in accordance with current government legislation and

    hold relevant training in First Aid and Safeguarding children and young peo

    ple. All employees/volunteers undertake monitoring to ensure they promo

    our quality assurance and code of practice.

    We have a variety of delivery options available to the community including

    The focus of our media service is onproviding a professional and flexiblerange of modern music and film pro-

    jects.

    These fun projects allow young peo-ple to explore their creativity in anumber of unique ways.

    DJ, Music Recording, Film Making andInstrument tuition are just some ofactivities we can offer. Projects canbe delivered in any location and overa flexible time scale.

    Our projects are geared to be be-spoke which enables young people towork on a range of linked projectstowards an end goal of either a

    showcase event or performance.

    COMMUNITY RANGERS

    We have a dedicated team of

    community rangers with vary-

    ing skills including; early

    years, playwork, youth work,

    sports, forest school and com-

    munity engagement who can

    support projects and events in

    the local community.
