INSIDER'S GUIDE TO ARTS EDUCATION PLANNING Sponsored by CCSESA, California Alliance for Arts Education, and CREATE CA
Please join us for our upcoming professional learning opportunity: The Insider's Guide to Arts Education Planning! This one-day workshop will be sponsored by CCSESA, California Alliance for Arts Education, and CREATE CA. Participants will:
• Learn facilitation skills on how to develop an arts education plan for a school district and/or county officeof education using the newly released 3rd edition of the Insider's Guide to Arts Education;
• Take away leadership strategies that can be applied in multiple settings; and
• Join a professional community that is committed to building capacity for arts education in California.
The program will be led by Peggy Burt, Arts Now Program Director for the California Alliance for Arts Education and lead coach for the Alliance's Arts Planning Initiative. She is one of the authors of the new edition of the Insider’s Guide to Arts Education Planning. Peggy brings over fifteen years of experience of working with districts and county offices on arts plans as well as training planning coaches for Los Angeles County Arts Commission: Arts Education Collective. She began her work as a planning coach for the California Alliance for Arts Education in 2003, and has served as the VAPA coordinator for the Wiseburn School District.
CCSESA is pleased to partner with the California Alliance for Arts Education’s Arts Planning Initiative which offers an opportunity for California districts and counties to complete a planning process using the best tools available including the Insider’s Guide to Arts Education Planning, high caliber facilitation, and strategic assistance.
