President's Message ...We are all set for our 25th annual MCPOA Peace Offi cer Memorial service and awards dinner. I hope that we will see you there on May 8th at the St. Jude’s church in Marina. It has been a busy few months with our big events of the year. I was sad to miss the Support Services Personnel awards dinner. However, I was extremely pleased to hear the wonderful feedback regarding how nice an event it was. Our job in law enforcement would be so diffi cult without the amazing people that serve as support personnel. I would like to send out a big thank you to all the support service personnel that make the profession of law enforcement that much be er!
My me as the president for this organiza on is coming to an end in the next couple of months. We have worked as a board to recruit successors onto the board of directors that will grow and care for this organiza on. I would like to invite those that have ideas and a passion for the MCPOA to contact me or any of our directors. We have plenty of opportuni es to serve on commi ees for our events throughout the year. I truly encourage people to get involved if you see room for improvement or have ideas for changes at any of our events.
Finally, I would ask that our membership keep the families and friends of those we have lost in the line of duty in their thoughts and prayers. May is Police Memorial month and though we should remember our fallen every day, I would ask that we give extra a en on and thoughts during this month.
Jus ne McMahon
President, MCPOA
