Thanks, Craig, for your willingness to serve this important organi- zation to represent the Department and AgriLife. Congratulations again! Our high-impact learning activities are excellent this summer. We have 57 of our undergraduate students who are serving as interns this summer in various capacities and locations across the country. We have six in sales, seven in financial planning, eight in real estate, two in insurance, 14 in management, seven in distri- bution and operations, five in business development and four in marketing. Among the employers are Car- gill, WalMart, Cactus Feeders, USAA, Northwestern Mutual, First National Bank of Elgin, Ben E. Keith and Southern Glazers. I’m told this is the most interns we have placed in 20 years. Thanks to Kerry Litzenberg for coordinating this activity and Donna Adcock for getting all of these students processed for academic cred- it. This is an excellent accomplishment that I’m sure we can build upon for the future. In addition to the above, we also have four ANRP interns in Washington, D.C. So, our internship program is doing really well. Study abroad has also been very active this summer. We had 22 students in Ireland and 11 more scheduled to be in Scotland next month. Thanks to Dusty Menzies and Cody Wright for shepherding these students. Our group of 14 students just returned from Ghana, after some great experiences at Parliament and out in the country-side as well. Thanks to Fred Boadu for organizing this activity. Finally, Dmitry Vedenov has 12 stu- dents in Paris and Angers, France, for the Agribusiness program (see picture), with five more scheduled to begin a new program in Lyon this week. You can view highlights of all of these experiences on the screen monitors in the hallways. Thanks to all of our faculty and staff who organized, coordinated and led these ex- cellent programs! All of our high-impact programs are making progress and providing unique, life-changing experiences for our students. As the 4-H Roundup winds down, things are gearing up for the Aggie baseball team to host the Davidson Wildcats in the College Station Super Regional this weekend. On to Omaha and the College World Series!! Have a great weekend!
