This story takes place in a certain town
with a very tall building that belonged to a
very wealthy man. Every Tuesday at 2
p.m., the man would stand on the roof of
the building and throw down money. Peo-
ple would gather from all around at that
time and stare at the ground. As soon as
the money dropped, they pounced on it.
One day, instead of money falling from the
sky, rocks and pebbles, and even boulders
began to fall. Suddenly, the people
stopped staring at the ground and began
to look up, trying to figure out what was
happening. Who was on top of the build-
ing? And why was that person throwing
rocks at them? When money fell, the peo-
ple only cared about what came down from
the building, but when rocks were falling,
suddenly they were interested in who was
doing the throwing and why. We can
choose curses or blessings, and God will
honor that choice. We read, “See, I am
setting before you today a blessing and a
curse— the blessing if you obey the com-
mands of the LORD your God that I am
giving you today; the curse if you disobey
the commands of the LORD your God.”
Deut 11:27-28 This verse does not say
that God is setting before us a choice be-
tween wealth and poverty. Scripture
does not intend to promise riches for
obeying God’s words or lacking wealth
if we do not. Rather, God promises us
blessings or curses; wealth does not
equal blessings, and poverty is not nec-
essarily a curse. A blessing is a state
we enter as we listen to God and follow
Him. A curse is any situation in which
we lack a relationship and alignment
with our Creator. As the story illustrates,
sometimes poverty can lead us to
blessings. We look up to heaven when
we experience difficulties in life. At the
same time, wealth can lead to curses.
Sometimes we forget about God when
we have everything in the material
world that we could ever want. I once
heard it put this way: “Some people are
so poor, all they have is money.” True
riches and blessings are found in a rela-
tionship with God

THE LAS VEGAS STRIPS EVANGELISM “ Joys of DOING Evangelism” From the Heart of Rev. Beverly
about it I smell it again. Isaiah 1:13-23
(New Living Translation) In light of
that, have you ever thought or heard
about the great rewards and joy in-
volved in doing personal, and team/
group evangelism? Unfortunately, a
lot of Saints/Believers haven’t experi-
enced this joy as they only think
about the costs: time, training, and
rejection, etc. and haven’t gotten
involved doing the “great commis-
sion” (Luke 14:23). In Matthew 6:19-
20, Jesus said not to lay up earthly
treasures but heavenly ones. Saints
we can work our entire lives, build up
a huge bank account, live in the nic-
est, biggest houses, drive the newest,
finest cars and own the latest toys in
technology, but when we die we can-
not take it with us (Luke 12:16-21).

All Praises to King Jesus! This
year’s Evangelism Assignment
on the Las Vegas Strip was
different just as all the others
are but, unusual and intriguing
in a huge way for me. I had an
experience unlike ever before; I
felt sadness / had a burden
placed in my belly by Holy Spirit
for the masses of people that
brought immediate intercession
into my spirit while passing out
the gospel tracts, and as I en-
countered the masses of people
receiving and rejecting a tract.
So many of these people came
from other states and possibly
countries as they were vacation-
ing in Vegas; for entertainment
and gambling, etc. on that
weekend. Just to think, that
perhaps there were some peo-
ple it was their only or last
chance to obtain a “gospel tract
with a prayer” to receive the
Lord Jesus into their heart. On
the other hand there were
those who allowed the team to
talk to them pray for them and
lead them into repentance! It
was a good feeling to be on
the Vegas Strip to intercede
for sinners, and pass out over
3500 gospel tracts which said
“Accept Jesus Christ, and
Escape Going to Hell.” Anoth-
er Experience I had that is still
indescribable; to smell a
stench/ stink as we walked
upon the grounds of the down-
town strip; a stench that was
so unbelievable and indescrib-
able that entered into my nose
and stomach and settled there.
I never ever have experienced
this before. Holy Spirit said to
me it’s as sin that’s so much
greater, greater, and greater in
strength when it comes into
God’s nostrils. When I think
Christian Persecution in Iraq ‘Convert or Die’ Senator Mario Rubio
All over the world, millions of innocent people are facing persecution, imprisonment, and even death because of their religious beliefs. In 2013, the world witnessed the largest displacement of religious communities in recent memory, according to the State Department’s Annual Report on International Religious Freedom. And the trend in 2014 is only getting worse. But per-haps nowhere has intolerance, ruthlessness, and evil combined to destroy people of faith more than it has in Iraq, where the Islamic State is engaged in a systemic effort to wipe out the Christian presence there, along with all other religious minorities. The Islamic State, an extreme Sunni militant group that emerged from al-Qaeda, has rampaged across Iraq, ridding towns of Christians and other religious minorities, just as it did in parts of Syria over the last year, persecuting that country’s Christians. It has used brutal tactics such as beheadings, rapes, forced conversions, and forced marriages of any non-Sunnis in its path. The United States intervened militarily to assist 40,000 Iraqi Yazidis — a religion that fuses Christianity, Islam, and ancient Zoroastrianism — who were literally stuck on a mountaintop. Until U.S. and Kurdish military operations helped clear a path to safety, their options were to stay and die of thirst, or relocate and be massacred by the Islamic State militants waiting at the base of the mountain. The U.S. government took the correct action in halting the genocidal campaign of the Islamic State by using our military to perform limited air strikes against their positions that were threatening Mount Sinjar and by conducting humanitarian airdrops to the Yazidis who were facing death from lack of water. Although the Obama administration has indi-cated that the mission has been accomplished on Mount Sinjar, there are reports that thousands of Yazidis still remain in peril on the mountain, in addition to the hundreds of thousands of refugees who need of humanitarian assistance in the Kurdish region of Iraq. Father, thank You for the boundaries of life that protect us from sin and from ourselves.. Give us the wisdom and grace to respond gratefully to Your Word in areas of danger and temptation. Amen.
Peace of God Be with you today and
always.
Good and Perfect
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your rea-sonable service. 2 And do not be con-formed to this world, but be trans-formed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Romans 12:1,2 **Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications,
prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men,
2 for kings and all who are in
authority, that we may lead a quiet and peacea-ble life in all godliness and reverence.
3 For this
is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,
4 who desires all men to be saved and
to come to the knowledge of the truth. 1 Timo-thy 2:2-4 **For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from sexual immorality; that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in passion of lust, like the Gentiles who do not know God; 1 Thess 4:3-5

Loving Intercession Joyce Johnston—Surprise, AZ
Next to praising and worshiping my wonderful Lord, I can’t think of anything I would rather do in the Kingdom than pray. The Word says “the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much” (James 5:16). I get so excited when God says pray about something, I do, and then I see the answer manifest. Wow! Prayer is such an important part of Kingdom living. All revivals and moves of God have been birthed in prayer. It is crucial for protection and effec-
tiveness of a leader when ministering. It is important for the minister to know his/her back is covered. I know it is comforting and makes me feel safe when that is hap-pening for me. I also know the repercussions of ministering without prayer protec-tion. Bottom line is, DON’T DO IT! I always get covered before going on a mission trip. Funny side note--when we were in New Mexico (CWDA), I prayed in tongues most of my waking hours and through the night. I prayed in tongues so much I thought I would go back to work and respond in tongues to my boss’s questions. God help us all to pray without ceasing. It is especially rewarding when God calls me to be a personal intercessor for a leader. What a privilege to serve a servant. I am humbled by the opportunity to pray for Rev Beverly. I love that role when going on a mission trip. I love to do it all the time. Continued Pg. 4

Continued from Pg. 3 There is just something special about it, a special blessing. When God calls you to pray for a person on a regular basis, you come to know the person without ever having spent time with the person in conversation or a social setting. You just know them in spirit. It is awesome. I am humbled when God shows me something about a person and has me pray, and extremely humbled when he gives me a word for a leader. Sometimes I write it down and give it to the person and walk away. That way he/she doesn’t feel obligated to give me a reaction. It gives the person time to ponder and pray on it and see what God says about it. It is not for me to force it on someone. Along with the privilege comes a responsibil-ity. Many times you see things that are personal and must be kept confidential. Shhhhhhhhhhhhh Many times you are not even to mention it to the person for which you are praying. Shhhhhhhhhhhhhh God will tell you.
Word of warning. Be prepared. When you pray for something, many times God uses you for the answer. If you pray for workers because the harvest is ripe, guess what. You will probably become one of those workers. As I say with tears in my eyes and my arms wide open, “ahhh, pick me Lord, pick me.” Joyce Johnson—Personal Intercessor for Reverend Beverly Benton.
Continued from pg. 1 Although the Mount Sinjar crisis further revealed to the world the sheer brutality of the Islamic State, for months these terrorists have been occupying and destroying churches across Iraq, pulling down crosses, destroying religious docu-ments and holy sites, and forcing Christians to convert or face death. They have seized bridges, dams, and other infrastructure that Christian towns and communities rely on for survival. Christians have been the primary target in Iraq, Christians have inhabited Iraq and Syria for 2,000 years; but if the Is-lamic State has its way with its “convert or die” tactics, not a single Christian will be left. But it is important not to lose sight of the fact that it is not just the fate of Christians and other religious minorities at stake in Iraq and Syria. Allowing the Islamic State and its jihadist leaders to maintain their newly established caliphate in the heart of the Middle East is a national-security threat to the United States and to our allies in the region.
In Iraq and around the world, protecting religious freedom must be a top priority . One need look no further than the situ-ation we face in Iraq and Syria today to realize that, if left unchecked, the same forces that breed anti-religious extrem-ism will eventually affect our security here at home. Senator Marco Rubio
Continued from pg. 2
Seriously we must think beyond that, when judgment comes all of these things will be destroyed and only what we have
done for Christ, the Kingdom of God will be counted in the end. (2 Peter 3:10-12). Hear me these material things, invest-
ments will not last. But the investment in the souls of others is an eternal investment. In I Corinthians 3:10-15, says when
we have witnessed, evangelized, worked and brought souls to Christ that grow up to mature Christians; becoming ves-
sels of honor; when we have invested in eternity and our work will endure through the fires of judgment. We will receive
an ETERNAL REWARD.
Saints, can you imagine how pleasing to God it is to cause happiness in heaven? That is exactly what we are doing
when we are involved in witnessing, evangelizing and helping others come to repentance. Luke 15:7, 10 says that heav-
en rejoices when sinners repent. God and the angels in heaven rejoice over the one who is become BORN-AGAIN /
SAVED, and NOW their name is written on Heaven’s book to GO TO HEAVEN WHEN THEY DIE OR Go up in the
“RAPTURE” OF THE CHURCH! There is truly nothing more rewarding than being involved in personal, and Group/team
evangelism. I pray this exhortation will be an encouragement to get you to simply start doing what God has COMMAND-
ED you/us to do and can do. . I am simply appealing to you to be more and do more than you are right now, If you do
that, you’ll receive your REWARD. IT IS TIME TO EVANGELIZE! Reverend Beverly Benton
