NOTEWORTHY NEWS AND NOTICES

PALM TREE TRIMMING TIME Palms are typically trimmed in June. The reason we do palms this time of year is because the seed pods grow out and are messy and unsightly. Having your tree trimmed after the seed pods emerge ensures that you get a full year to enjoy a properly trimmed, clean tree. The Compliance Officer will start checking homeowner palm trees starting in July.

WATCH YOUR MAILBOX The notices for the second half of the annual homeowner dues have been mailed. The second half for Cottonwood residents is $733.00 and for Palo Verde residents, $831.00 (includes gate fee). Payment was due Wednesday, 7/1/20.

Billing notices are mailed as a courtesy. Even if you do not receive a billing notice you are still responsible for paying your dues on time.

NOTE: If you are enrolled in auto-debit for your homeowner dues or have already paid your second half dues, you may disregard this notice.

MARICOPA COUNTY MASK REGULATIONS DUE TO COMMUNITY SPREAD OF COVID-19 The Maricopa County mandate requires anyone age 6 and older to wear a face covering while inside a "place of public accommodation. This includes the Palo Verde Restaurant and Bar, gyms and all public facilities. The mandate also requires masks in communal outdoor areas such as sidewalks. The Cottonwood PaloVerde HOA will enforce these requirements within our community and require everyone using our facilities to wear a mask.

These mandates are necessary to protect public health, as a record number of new COVID-19 cases in Arizona are reported daily. The goal is to flatten the curve so hospitals are not overwhelmed.

Recent research studies have concluded masks can be effective in preventing transmission of COVID-19 and should be worn when around others.

SUN LAKES POSSE MEDICAL EQUIPMENT OFFICE The Sun Lakes Posse Medical Equipment Office will be closed Friday, July 3rd. The Office will open on Monday, July 6th for regular hours 9:00 AM - 12:00 noon. The Associates wish all a safe and healthy holiday.

COMMITTEE MEETINGS

The Committees will not be meeting during the summer. They will resume their normal schedules in September, unless otherwise posted.

Architectural Compliance Committee (ACC) will continue to process permits during the summer by appointment only, call 480-895-3550 x 305.

VOLUNTEER TO BE ON A COMMITTEE

COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE The Communications Committee was established to provide the Board of Directors and HOA Management with input and recommendations reflecting the needs and desires of the Community. It supports Management’s communications vehicles, namely "The Flyer," "In The Know," and the HOA Website. Other activities include the Ambassador Program, management of the HOA Library, the weekly collection of the White Comment Cards and Restaurant Comment Cards including summary reports to Management and the HOA Board, and maintaining the History of the HOA. It assists the Board and Management in the completion of the mechanics of any required presentation or publication.

The Communications Committee encourages everyone to get involved in their Community. Consider a membership on the Communications Committee and obtain an application at the HOA Administration Center or from the Website. The Communications Committee meets the first Monday of the month at 8:30am in the Ceramics Room. Even though the Committee will not meet during the summer, the work goes on and the reports are maintained. We hope you will consider the Communications Committee as your first choice and submit an application!
