What does entrepreneurial freedom mean toyou?Entrepreneurial freedom really means totalaccountability for your results. Tis is why some peopletalk about running a business and not everyone doesit. I have the freedom to choose my income, how I spendmy time, who I spend it with and what I do momentto moment. I didnt always have this freedom though.I went from running in one rat race when I worked incorporate to running another rat race attempting tolook like I had everything together when I rst startedmy business. It was only until I was vulnerable, that Ididnt have everything perfect, that I experienced truefreedom.

Describe a time you felt pulled in a milliondirectionshow did you focus? My business has grown primarily by hosting liveevents. Preparing for a live event in addition to servingcurrent clients, marketing, managing projects and beingpresent to life outside of business, always brings stress. When there are literally hundreds of things I coulddo with my time, what always gets me back to focus isgetting quiet and being honest with myself about whatare the top money-making actions I can take. Ten Idetermine what to delegate and everything else getsput on the back burner. When you realize the world will not end if you micromanage every detail, you aremuch more productive.

Describe a time when you were frustrated atthe boss you were beingto you. How didyou overcome it?It was my live event in the fall of 2012. I had onpart-time assistant who was brand new to the worlof entrepreneurs and events in this industry. So now I just show up with my vision anI have a team of people to make it happen. Tis wayI can be my genius and make the real contribution want to make.

pull you and YOU are the only person who will getback up and move forwardor quit. When you moveforward after falling is the best feeling that no onecan ever give you but you. You have to move forwardbecause having a glimpse of your vision and then goingback is more painful than moving forward despite the

bumps and bruises you will get on this rollercoaster ofan amazing journey.

When were you scared to leap forward in your business? How did you overcome it?EVERY time I host a live event I have a freak out(a.k.a. breakdown). Its about me being truly visibleand up-leveling how I contribute to the world. I havemy team of people to call on for supportive guidance, including spiritual teachers and colleagues who aregenuine in supporting me. I also know whatever feelslike a breakdown will result in a massive breakthrough worth it every single time.

What has been the biggest challenge on your journey of entrepreneurship and how did youovercome it?I woke up one day in 2012 and realized that I hatedmy business. I had bought into the hype of one sizets all and in order to be successful you HAVE to doit this way. Te result was I abandoned my intuitionand lost inspiration for my big WHY. Getting back tomy center and trusting myself was honestly one of themost challenging things Ive done since I started my

business in 2008. But having gone through it, I nohave a business that I love, I work with ideal clienand my income is growing.

What else would you would like to add frominside your jungle?

Comparison is the root of all pain. When you compar your business to other people you will always feel band youll attempt to do things because you shoulinstead of because you feel authentically inspired to it. When you compare yourself to how you think yoshould be, you will always fall short. Remember th you are right on time and you can do this. Create yobig vision and only step in the direction that takes yocloser to that vision.

Expect to Be Scared,Expect to Have Doubts

What does entrepreneurial freedom mean toyou? After spending 30 years in a corporate career, entrepreneurial freedom means Im free to live and work on my own terms. I can innovate, take risks, generate new ideas and solutions to the problems somany women business leaders face. I can step fullyinto being the inuencer I have been for so long, butunfettered by judgments, rules, and opinions of others.

For better or worse, its me out there on that stage, onthe page or on the airways. Te only limits I have arethe articial ones I place on myself because of doubt, fear or self-limiting beliefs (and thats the opposite offreedom).

Describe a time you felt pulled in a milliondirectionshow did you focus? o tell the truth, spreading myself too thin can be mydownfall. I want to accomplish so much both in workand in life that I frequently can take too much on.

I have two practices that get me back on track:

    1. I am brutal with my to-do list. I review whatabsolutely has to get done and money-generatingactivities have to come rst.

    2. I am smart about calendaring my goals andchecking and adjusting my priorities daily.

o ensure I am as healthy and happy as I can be, Ischedule my meals into my calendar. I eat based on

how I want to feel, so I always have 30 minutes setaside to cook and eat a meal that is going to supportthe work I have ahead of me.

There are still challenges no matter howsuccessful someone iswhat are some of your

biggest challenges? My biggest challenge is working alone. Im a big

collaborator and always liked working in teamI make up for this by ensuring I have colleagues mastermind with on regular basisother womeentrepreneurs who can offer me advice, support anguidance. HA has been invaluable.

Money is my last frontiertracking my inows anoutows and identifying my drains is a new skill Ibuilding. Im shifting my money mindset from thfear of not having enough and the belief that as aentrepreneur I will naturally earn less than I did imy high-powered corporate career to one where Ilearning to trust that if I pursue my goals purposefulpowerfully, and soulfully, I will live abundantly well

Describe a time when you were frustrated atthe boss you were beingto you. Leave Your Egoat the Door

What does entrepreneurial freedommean to you?My denition of entrepreneurial freedom is tolive my life in alignment with what feels true andreal for me. I used to be obsessed with making it inmy business so even though I had clients, was makingmoney and appeared successful, I was not really happy. Irealized that honouring my creativity and expressing it was fundamental to my well-being. So I have freedombecause I have made the conscious choice, at this pointin my life, to only work 2 days a week and to spend theother days pursuing meaningful creative projects (evenif they have nothing to do with my business).

Describe a time you felt pulled in a milliondirectionshow did you focus?Shortly after I got clear on my area of expertise whichis women, money and self-esteem, great opportunitiesstarted to show up in my life. I wanted to say YES!to all of them Yes! to having my own show on thelocal radio channel, Yes! to all the speaking gigs,Yes! to doing joint projects with every single personthat wanted to partner up with me. It was all too muchand seriously exhausting!

o get focus, I took a step back and asked myselfWhat do I want?

I also:1. Created a vision board so that I could get super-

clear on my big dreams + goals and I pinned it in

my office as a daily reminder.2. Asked for help (I hired a VA).3. Got a life outside of workI took up yoga, learned

how to cook, started to throw dinner parties. Temore I enjoyed myself outside of work, the less Ifelt stressed out about my business and was thenable to make healthier and saner decisions about what was right for me and my business.

There are still challengesno matter how successfulsomeone iswhat are someof your biggest challenges?

Teres a bunch of them! Wanting to cram too

    many things on my

to-do list. Sayingno and worryinthe other person wil

be disappointed in mor thinking Im missin

out on something potentiallyamazing. rusting my intuition.Letting my ego get in the way Admitting I still dont have all mshit together, despite having an

impressive collection of self-helppersonal development books.

My biggest challenge has been handlin what I perceived as failure. Back in 2010, I spe$7k to be a certied life coach and launched my lcoaching business. After a year, I realized I didnt enjlife coaching and spent $2.5k to become a monecoach. After a year of that, I realized I didnt enjocoaching! I overcame this by changing my perspecton failure and entrepreneurship. Once I fully acceptethe journey is not a straight line and I have a choion how I view the journey, then I learned to relax antrust myself.

Describe a time when you were frustrated atthe boss you were beingto you. How didyou overcome it? About a year into my business, I wasnt where I wantto be. I was working really hard but not making thmoney I thought Id be making or having the lifestyI dreamed of. I wanted to prove to myself I cou

be successful so worked even harder, thinking th was the answer. WRONG! I became a workaholiperfectionist, slave-driver kind of boss.

I overcame it by getting rid of all the crap I was sayito myself. I stopped watching what everyone else wdoing. I got grounded and reconnected to my purpoin life. I took the time to check in with myself on a dai

You are being the best boss you ever hadwhenI feel unstoppable and ready to conquer the world!

What would you say to someone who wants to be her own best boss but she isnt sure how? Whenever you feel stuck, scared or unsure then yourecoming from a place of fear and worry. Youre in yourheadprobably overanalyzing and having thoughtsof lack and limitation. Ask yourself: How is this

working for you? Ten go back to your Big Why, threason behind you wanting to start your business in thrst place. Reconnect with your passion and imagin yourself using your very own unique gifts, talents aabilities. See yourself receiving love notes from hapclients thanking you for the huge impact youve ma

Its about leaving my ego at the door.

What does entrepreneurial freedommean to you?My denition goes beyond creating success onmy terms or doing what I love and loving what I do.Its that AND its about being a business owner versusa service provider. Its about creating income in a waythat does not stop if Im removed from the equation.

Describe a time you felt pulled in a milliondirectionshow did you focus?Because Im multi-passionate this tends to happen alot. Its always when I take on too much at the sametime. At times like this all of it tends to get diluted. When this starts to happen I know I need to make achoice. What to focus onrstnot forever (which isan important distinction for multipotentialites).

There are still challenges no matter howsuccessful someone iswhat are some of your

    biggest challenges?

A few things come to mind. First, the comparison trap. Its so easy to slide down this rabbit hole. Ive watchedtoo many great ideas get sacriced on the altar ofcomparison, including some of my own.

Second, being judged and/or rejected. I know Ive sliddown this rabbit hole when Im procrastinating forno good reason. Its human nature to want to be liked

and loved. And its scary to put yourself out there. Tsolution for both of these traps is to get crystal cleabout why you became an entrepreneur in the rplace. Dene your visionwith as much vivid detas possibleand keep it in front of you at all time When you struggle, doubt or fear (and you will) yopassion will guide you through it.

Another challenge is being multi-passionate. Itchallenging to choose what to do rst or next whensee so many possibilities before them (not to mentioliking them all). And making sure I dont try to dtoo many things at the same time. I continue to woron being as decisive and focused as possible. Havifriends and mentors who know this about me keepme on track. The Mind is TrulyWhere the Jungle IsWhat does en-t r e p r e n e u r -ial freedommean to you?Entrepreneurialfreedom is thatmagical mix ofhaving enoughtime to do what

you want, with enough money to do it and loving how you earn your money because you always feel like youhave a job that is fun. Its also being free to be who youtruly are, and having an ongoing love affair with your work and the clients you are serving. I know Im feelingfree when my days have a steady but diverse rhythmto them; when I cant wait to work on a project buthave no compunction about hitting the pool or beachfor a few hours on a weekday afternoon or taking along lunch with a friend. And of course, having noanxiety that my bank account will support this!

Describe a time you felt pulled in a milliondirectionshow did you focus?

Ummm, this morning? Feeling spread thin issomething I personally struggle with frequently.Usually its a result of burnout, not having (or liking)my plan or not having appropriately outsourced. o getfocus, I step away from my office and do somethingcompletely non-work related. Or, I get my thoughtsdown on paper. Seeing my thoughts in writing helpsme see whats really going on and what needs to be

done about it.There are still challenges no matter howsuccessful someone iswhat are some of your

    biggest challenges?

Te biggest challenge Ive ever had, and will ever have,is controlling what goes on in that space between

my ears. I have learned EVERY HING starts withmindset. When I believe I can, I will. When I don want to worry, I wont. No external circumstances cderail me like my internal thoughts and beliefs. Temind is truly where the jungle is. If you can naviga your way through that, success is just a swinging viride away!

Ive also learned the best entrepreneurs are alwastretching themselves, nancially and personally. Sat any moment, its possible Ill feel as if I dont haenough resources, time, money or talent. Im a typicentrepreneurI take risks, stay leveraged and alwabelieve things will work themselves out. Living lithat takes enormous courage and faith because tsome extent, it means being out there on a wing ana prayer.

Describe a time when you were frustrated atthe boss you were beingto you. How didyou overcome it?My worst trait is working myself like a rented mulIm very demanding of me and have a tendency berate myself over everything. When a friend pointeout Id never treat an employee like that, I started tchange my self-talk and allow myself time off. Noone of my mantras is, Be gentle with yourself. Youa valuable employee.

make a point to look at what Ive accomplished overseveral days instead of what still needs to be done.

What would you say to someone who wants to be her own best boss but isnt sure how?Go back and look at the bosses you had when you had a

J-O-B and make a note of why you loved them. Whatdid they do and did they do it for you, with you or to you? Emulate some of their traits. Also, realize that you are in business. Your boss at your J-O-B wouldnthave accepted weeks and weeks of two hour work days, especially in the beginning stages. Dont be seduced bythinking you can have it all, right away, in just a coupleof work hours a week. It takes time and it takes work.

When were you scared to leap forward in your business? How did you overcome it?

Every day could bea day Im scared toput myself out there!Sometimes I chooseto overcome it andsometimes I chooseto stay stuckandtheres valuable insightin each of thosedecisions. Its easierfor me to overcome

fear when I get out of my head and into my life. Whseems like A BIG DEAL at my desk, looks totalldifferent when Im out living and having fun. It keethings in perspective.

What else would you would like to add from

Also, remember everyone has a back stoso you dont know what things look like off camer Tats why its important to set your sights on the road youve chosen and just keep putting one foot in froof the other. You Are Perfec Im perfect

What does entrepreneurial freedom mean toyou?Lets talk reality, most of us do not work for freewellnot after the infancy stages of starting a business. Manyof us become entrepreneurs because we have the dreamof a successful business, and ultimately wealth andfreedom after being in the corporate world. However,I believe there is so much more to entrepreneurialfreedom than the bottom line. It is about living yourdreams, living your passsion, living something you areexcited to eat sleep and breathe each day. It really isabout creating more of what you want professionallyand less of what you dont want.

Describe a time you felt pulled in a milliondirectionshow did you focus?I feel spread thin when launching a new product orpackage, or bringing on new team members. I have toschedule lunches, snacks, physical activity and eventime to get caught up on paperwork. It is critical for meto have a structured and organized schedule to ensure Istay focused when juggling many balls in the air.

There are still challenges no matter howsuccessful someone iswhat are some of your

biggest challenges? Te biggest challenge for me is stepping into theplace of being the face of my company. I surroundmyself with strong employees and amazing clinicians

and physicians. I nd myself wanting to stay in thebackground so they can be the face people see. I oftenget acknowledgements about my accomplishments inbusiness. I really had to start honouring and validatingthat Im great at what I do, Im paving a new way ofhealthcare, and I started a company I need to be proudof.

Describe a time when you were frustrated atthe boss you were beingto you. How didyou overcome it?I frustrate myself when I place expectations on mysthat clearly push me to my limits. Id never place thestandards on my employees so I cannot accept themyself either. I am human just like my employees anneed realistic, manageable goals. When I succeed I cset higher goals, but starting out at the highest leveis detrimental to my own performance and ultimatethe performance of my business.

You are being the worst boss you ever hadwhenIm harder on myself than any other person would bIts when I put unrealistic expectations on myselfeven more than the worst boss in the corporate worl Tis would mean I schedule myself excessively, wo12+ hours per day, dont schedule time for my personlife and place unrealistic deadlines on projects. comes down to not taking care of myself persona which then impacts my professional life.

No One is There for You More than You

What would you say to someone who wants to be her own best boss but isnt sure how? A good boss understands that happy employees areproductive ones. When you give someone a task thatthey hate or that they are terrible at accomplishing, you are setting them up to fail. Similarly, give yourselfthe tasks you love during the best time of day for youto accomplish it. If your brain loves 11am, thats when you write. Tats when you create. Te nuts and boltsof your business, scheduling marketing updates orresponding to emails, less think-y stuff, that stuff isimportant but doesnt need your best thinkin hours.Prioritize based on your own body.

As far as being unsure, you really just need to decidethat youre going to take control of your business andmake it what you want. In all aspects of life, we learnthat no one sticks up for you but you. No one is there

for you more than you. No one can x your life b you. Do what needs to be done to treat yourself th way you deserve. ell everyone else to stick a fork their eye if they dont like it.

When were you scared to leap forward in your

business? How did you overcome it?I still am afraid when I have something new to launcor show people. Im always afraid its not good enou And sometimes its not. I overcome it by rememberingneed to make money! I dont want a full time job. Te onl way I get to make a living doing what I do is to put mysout there. Sometimes I get so scared I start looking oMonster.com and let me tell you, that cures my feabig time. Te thought of going to work for someoneeven putting on a suit to IN ERVIEW, is scarier thanany launch I could do. ry it! It helps.

What else would you would like to add frominside your jungle? My business rules are always changing. I used to sa would never turn off Facebook. Now I only hop in anout. I used to believe I could have lunch with friena few times a week. Ive changed that to MAYBtwice a month. I dont allow myself those kinds time indulgences anymore. Building a business ansustaining one means taking your job as CEO ver very seriously. And if I want my own empire, whicdo, I need to act like a CEO and treat myself like one

What does entrepreneurial freedom mean toyou?Being able to run my business how I want, when I want, and work with who I want. Its all about whattruly supports ME and having the freedom to say noto what does not.

Describe a time you felt pulled in a milliondirectionshow did you focus? As my business took off, I got to the point where I was actually OVERbooked. alk about being pulled inmultiple directions! I had all these beautiful clients tosupport AND still needed to work ON my business.Getting focused was a MUS ! I tuned into WHY Imdoing this. Why am I so excited to help these clients? What is my big mission and message? What am I hereto offer the world? From there it was a LO easierto see what to focus on, what was important to mymission and what could be dropped because it didntmatter in the grand scheme of things.

There are still challenges no matter howsuccess someone iswhat are some of your

biggest challenges? One challenge is the overwhelm of having so manyballs in the air as a business owner. My fear is I willdrop them, let my clients down, run my business intothe ground, or other similar worst case scenarios. Ialso feel challenged around feeling like a fraud, likesomehow my success and my business, arent reallyreal and Im just playing pretend.

Another one has been putting myself out there andgetting visible. I was always a shy, quiet girlsteppingup and getting visible was scary for me! I did a lotof inner work to accept myself unconditionally (andS ILL do work around this) so I could step outknowing how fully supported and loved I am, and itdoesnt matter what anyone else thinks!

I also made it reallyFUN for myself so it was more like a gamethan a challenge. Ilove dressing up, sodid photoshoots, dressed up forn e t w o r k i n gevents andconferences ,and practicedbeing visible while feeling A W E S O M E whenever I wentout around otherpeople. Tis made ita frickin BLAS forme and visibility feels more natural than ever before

Describe a time when you were frustrated atthe boss you were beingto you. How didyou overcome it?I have a tendency to push myself, and to feel like*should* be doing something, taking actionANactionto keep moving forward. I beat myself upI feel like I havent been productive, or havent gottthe things done I think I *should* do. I overcomthis by reminding myself that it really doesnt matt what I do, what matters is who I am b eing and howI am showing up. For when I come from a place

joy, completely accepting and loving myself and tpeople Im here to serve, then from that place I wknow what actions need to be taken and what thingare the most important to focus on. Ive seen this somany times that I know it to be true, and it usually jutakes that reminder to get me back on track being thbest boss I can be to myself.

What does entrepreneurial freedom mean toyou?Entrepreneurial freedom is about doing what you loveand making money at it. Its about serving people with your passion and using your gifts in the world. Its when youre excited about what you do every day and you come with enthusiasm and passion to your clientsand your work. Tat, to me, is entrepreneurial freedom.Plus the ability to take a nap if I need to, pet my cats, take a break as neededthat supports freedom, too.

Describe a time you felt pulled in a milliondirectionshow did you focus? Well, that happens in a typical week. As an entrepreneur, you often will be stretched thin because youre running your business, youre serving your clients, if you havestaff you might be managing staff and I think part ofbeing an entrepreneur is that we are many things tomany people. And so, what I do is to get centered asmuch as possible. I make sure to take care of myself with self-nurturing activities like being in nature, also, taking baths, getting massages. For me, that is the wayI do it. But I think, if you are in business, youve got tobe ready for stress and know how to deal with stress inthe best possible wayand to have a great team, whichIm lucky to have.

There are still challenges no matter how

success someone iswhat are some of your biggest challenges? Te biggest issue is managing cash ow and makingsure my employees are paid, Im paid, and my businesscontinues to grow and evolve with programs changingto meet the market today. Tose are a lot of balls tobalance in the air. I speak at conferences that involvefollow-up. I serve my clients on publicity courses. I

consult. I havemy productssuch as mybook and homestudy system. Itry to keep goodtime on all of thatby doing the bestI can and makingsure I have outsideresources to support theprojects Im working on.

Describe a time when you were frustrated atthe boss you were beingto you. How didyou overcome it?I think the biggest issue is time management. For me,segment my day as much as possible. In the morningtake care of sales and marketing calls. I try to schedutime where I can actually work on my business whichsometimes the hardest thing to do. I schedule thinkintime to think about my business.

And then, in the afternoon, I usually serve consultinclients. Ten, there are times when Im attendingseminars because I believe in constantly investing myself and education. At seminars, Im networkinfor clients and creating joint venture relationship

Probably the biggest frustration is keeping up wiit allits a time management issue and of courmaking sure cash ow supports the business.

What isScary isWhat Ive Done aMillion Times Before What does entrepreneurial freedom mean toyou? My denition of entrepreneurial freedom is the abilityto choose what I do, who I do it with and when Ido it. I know that I do not have the freedom that I want when I am not feeling good about whats on myschedule for a day. In fact, there have been times whenthe very feeling of dread about what is on my scheduleis the way Ive made major decisions about endingcertain projects, letting go of certain clients, or hiringnew folks to take on things that I no longer want to do.

Describe a time you felt pulled in a milliondirectionshow did you focus? A time that I felt spread thin and pulled in multipledirections was about three months before I was to hostmy rst live three-day event calledBe Juicy! 6-Figures on Your erms in 2012. It was a new event and it feltlike giving birth to twins and getting married all rolledup together. I nd that I feel the most spread thin whenI am in the midst of an up level in my business. Andthis usually indicates its time to get help in a new way.So in order to get focus, I take some time off. Whichis hard because it usually feels like the very opposite of

what I need to do. But it always brings clarity. And Ialways know what I need to do next. Tis could meantaking time away to do my transcendental meditationfor 20 minutes or it could be taking the whole day oreven a weekend away.

There are stillchallenges no mat-ter how successfulsomeone iswhatare some of your big-gest challenges?

It all still feels somewhatscary even after 14 yearsin business and after crossing the seven-gure mar What I struggle with or what feels scary is what Idone a million times before. I somehow convinmyself this time is differentthis is a new talk, a neaudience or new program. It causes me to feel scarinstead of acknowledging my experience.

My biggest challenge is continuing to own mgreatness. Tere is always a new level to ownwnever stop evolving and always need to look at who are now, what it is we are bringing into the world nowand who we are suppose to serve now. My best adviis to do things that have you get full of yourself, evif you're not being compensated for it. If it remind you of who you are do it!

Describe a time when you were frustrated atthe boss you were beingto you. How didyou overcome it?

When my daughter started preschool, I was ready tget back to my business in a bigger way. My boss (m wanted me to do what I was doing before. What is Scary is What Ive Done a Million Times Before

You are being the worst boss you ever hadwhenI need to take a break and dont. If Im frustrated aboutsomething, I think Ill feel better by doing 10 morethings. I actually need to go for a walk, put on loud

music and dance my butt off, or hug my daughter. Butmy boss (me) is convinced I need to gut it through. Tis creates the cycle of even more frustration and mecreating, in my mind, more problems.

You are being the best boss you ever hadwhenI truly take Monday and Friday off and focus on self-care, organizing and clearing my decks so I can bepresent with my family on the weekend and be mybest with clients on my work days.

What would you say to someone who wants to be her own best boss but isnt sure how?It takes courage and no one will stand up for you morethan you. Be mindful about how long you go withstruggling or making promises to x things yourself.Making an investment in yourself is the most surething you can ever do. In ourCash Trough Clarity raining & Coaching program, we show our studentshow to claim their ideal clients in their marketing. Tey say its like we are giving them permission tocreate the business they always wanted. Sometimes you do need to invest in experts who may tell yousomething you already know but arent doing. It may

make all the difference in the world.

When were you scared to leap forward in your business? How did you overcome it?I have been scared many times to leap forward. Yoknow the famous quote leap and the net will appear

After making many leapsmost of them having tdo with making big investments in myself and mmissionI came up with a new version of that quotleap and the cliff disappears!

What else would you would like to add frominside your jungle? My closing advice is to be honest about whats holdi you back, make a conscious decision on either yes, going to get help or no, Im going it alone, and notihow much time goes by when you go it alone. I camyself a 10-year overnight success because it took mthat long to get the help I needed to grow my busines And when I started saying, Yes, Im going to get helI went from $70k a year to $1 million in just four yea

    My Head wasScreaming,This isSo Irresponsible!

What does entrepreneurial freedom mean toyou?First, there is the element of personal freedomthat you feel aligned with what you are doing in yourbusiness. Does your business reect your innermostdesires? Is the message of your business aligned with what you really want to be contributing in the world? o me, entrepreneurial freedom is when yourtruth and your message are aligned with what you areputting out there in the world in terms of your businessmodel. Many entrepreneurs in the beginning go with what they think will make the most money instead ofchecking with themselves to see what they most wantto birth into the world.

Describe a time you felt pulled in a milliondirectionshow did you focus? Tere was a time in my business about 2.5 years ago where I almost threw in the towel and gave up on the whole thing. I was working long hours, and feeling Ihad to hustle for every little win, every new clientand every new sale. And, self-care was zero. I ended up(once again) getting really sick and was forced to lie inbed for a week.

Ten, I tried an experiment. I cut my work hours inhalf and whenever Id get stressed or nd myself in

uber-masculine (working too hard, long hours, no self-care or pleasure) Id do the thing that felt most scaryand counterintuitive. Id drop EVERY HING andtake a long hot bath or go to the salon for a mani-pedior a massage. Everything in my head was screamingTis is so irresponsible! Everything will fall apart! How can you be doing this!? Yet that month I tripledmy income. I realize now the more in pleasure I am,

    the more expanded I am.

There are still challenges no matter howsuccessful someone iswhat are some ofyour biggest challenges?Oh, I love this question! I still struggle with nooverworking and maintaining the balance requirefor me to be in my feminine. I tend to get passionatabout things and then Im still at the computer at 9 pmand wonder why Im not feeling well. Constantly Ire-calibrating throughout the day, checking in witmyself and seeing if I need a break.

Another challenge is staying steadfast in speaking mtruth. Ive managed to do it, but whenever yourebright light speaking your truth, youll trigger peopand sometimes theyll say not-so-nice things. For evenegative, triggered comment I get, I get 100 messagsaying thank you, youve inspired me to step into mpurpose and my power and 'come out', so to speak.

Describe a time when you were frustrated atthe boss you were beingto you. How didyou overcome it?I went through a period when I wanted to be freeand not have a schedule. I ended up super-stresseand overwhelmed all the time. I nally put in tim

blocks into my calendar for marketing, advertisinselling, administration, writing, self-care, meal break workout time and pleasure breaks. At rst I was afrato do it, thinking it would be limiting. But now itactually what gives the greatest freedom. Waking uin the morning and knowing exactly what Im doineliminates 95 per cent of overwhelm.

My Head was Screaming, This is So Irresponsible!

You are being the worst boss you ever hadwhenIm looking at other people and comparing myself tothem, instead of focusing on my mission and what Ihave to offer the world from my heart. Im not takingtime to take care of myself and am working too long.

Im not fueling myself nutritionally while working onlaunches. Im not putting in the time to hire the rightpeople for the job. Im not trusting in my instincts when making business decisions.

You are being the best boss you ever hadwhenI speak my truth. I keep up my workout schedule, nutrition plan and delegate all low leverage tasks toother people who will do them much better. I trust andhonour my pace and the wisdom of my body when ittells me to go slower.

What would you say to someone who wants to be her own best boss but isnt sure how?It will always feel scarythat feeling will NEVER goaway. But you can still keep moving even when youfeel scared. Just take one tiny step. For example, whatcan you hire out? You might think you cant afford it,but think of what you get paid per hourif you get

paid $100 per hour, spending two hours doing laundris like wasting $200. You can pay someone to do yolaundry for much less.

When were you scared to leap forward in your business? How did you overcome it?

I make sure to keep focusing on the people I am servin When I take the focus off of me and I realize I am heto help the woman entrepreneur who is here to do greathingsand that me leaping forward serves her in hown leap forwardthen I know I HAVE to take thaleap forward. I think you have to be really committto your mission and really committed to your owgrowth. I think thats one of the biggest qualities ofsuccessful entrepreneur and what separates those whsucceed from those who dont. ake the focus from yoto who you serve and how you can serve.

Youve Got toW ant It More Than Youre Afraid of It

What does entrepreneurial freedom mean toyou?Entrepreneurial freedom is doing business my way, notthe way were often told we should or that someoneelses way is theonly way. We get to make the rulesits our business. Yes, I adopt tried-and-true businesspractices, but in a way that feels right for me and iseffective for my business model.

Describe a time you felt pulled in a milliondirectionshow did you focus? Tis usually happens when I over-committheresnever a shortage of opportunities for entrepreneurs. Sonow, before I say yes to something, I get really clearabout why Im saying yesis it the right project, rightpeople, right time? If its not a hell yes, then its a noor a maybe next time.

There are still challenges no matter howsuccessful someone iswhat are some of your

biggest challenges? One of my biggest challenges is delegation. Ive hadsome horric experiences that hurt my business andso have some of my colleagues. Im not a control freak

but I do have a high standard of quality. Its one of mytop ve values. So when I hire support, Im looking attheir expertise and a good t with my values.

Ive realized in my business each challenge seems bigat the time, but on the other side it isnt so massive. Tere will always be challengesthats how you grow. When youre faced with one, face it. Seriously, they

dont go away unless theyre addressedand when yignore them, they become massive. Face it head odeal with it, learn from it and put it behind you. Tengive yourself a big pat on the back. You deserve it.

Describe a time when you were frustrated atthe boss you were beingto you. How didyou overcome it?My third business was sucking the life out of me bI kept cracking the whip and forced myself to keeshowing up! I had a lifestyle to support and wasnready to take a chance on a new business. Plus, J-O-B was NO in the plan. Ten one morning I justcouldnt do it anymore. I nished up with clients andecided to start fresh. Best decision I ever made. WisI had done it sooner.

You are being the worst boss you ever hadwhenI work long hours, days on end. Usually this is whIm working on a big project, so its short-term. I lo what I do so much that its easy to be pulled in working, working, working without much play timIve come to realize I do much better work when I tak

time for myself and enjoy life outside my work. You are being the best boss you ever hadwhenI do the work I love, in the way I love, with clientsadore. The MirrorNever Lies

What does entrepreneurial freedom meanto you?I have freedom when Im in control of my time when Im intentional about how I work, when I work, who I work with, and how I share my talents andskills with others. I use a little trick I call the mirrortest. When I can look in the mirror and truthfully tellmyself my actions are aligned with my core values and what matters most to me, thats freedom to me. Temirror never lies.

Describe a time you felt pulled in a milliondirectionshow did you focus? Tis happens a lot, no matter how much planning ororganizing I do. Even though I have a team, it seemsthere is never a shortage of things to do. A simple trick works for me. I rate the days tasks as A, B or C inimportance with A being most important. Ten, I ratethe As from 1 to 3, the Bs from 1 to 3 and so on. Tishelps me break down a big list into whats most criticaland I do whats most important rst.

There are still challenges no matter howsuccessful someone iswhat are some of your

biggest challenges?I faced a values crisis in my business just before myson started kindergarten. I had a talented seven-gurebusiness mentor and my business was growing by leapsand bounds with her support. However, each day thecalendar ipped over meant my son was getting closer

to full-time in grade one and that was making meanxious.

It felt like my time with him was shrinking and Icouldnt see how to take my business to the next leveland honour my time with him too. I got help frommy spiritual advisors, got really honest about my values and then mapped out my entire year to align my

schedule with my values. wo examples are my famiis spending March together in Hawaii and Im onl working one day a week next summer before my sstarts grade one.

As a result of my journey to entrepreneurial freedomI created MeJanes Freedom by Focus BlueprinProgram to help high-achieving women in busineget clear about their next level of success and grotheir business on their terms, without compromisintheir values. My clients tell me their experience pricelessthat fullls me beyond belief.

Describe a time when you were frustrated atthe boss you were beingto you. How didyou overcome it? Just one time? (Oh yeah, I created these questionLOL.) In the early days I did a lot of corporatconsulting because it was easy work and nanciarewarding. I worked three days a week and spent twdays with my son. I remember a time a big cliescheduled a meeting on my free day. I felt like I hato go, got all dressed up to head downtown, schleppoff my son on someone and went to that meeting.felt horrible about not sticking to my boundaries. Ta was the last time I let someone book my calendarrarely do corporate consulting now because I ha

much more freedom (and fun) working virtually wi women business owners.

You are being the worst boss you ever hadwhenI overwork and overbook myself. I dont plan my weI sit in my office all day and dont get outside fo walk or, at the least, bust some quick dance moves
