INQUIRY INTO THE INCREASE IN VICTORIA’S ROAD TOLL
SUPPLEMENTARY SUBMISSION
I am pleased to be able to your provide your Inquiry Committee with this supplementary
submission.
THE REASONS FOR THIS SUPPLEMENTARY SUBMISSION
The reasons for requestig to make this suplementary submssion are:
• My further investigations have uncovered additional relevant materials;
• I wish to raise gross errors in materials provided to the Inquiry by MUARC;
• I wish to comment on matters raised in the VAGO Report on Road Barriers, and the
response letter from Associate Secretary Foa in that report.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The Motor Cycle Riders S141 Submission claimed:
“10 Victorian motorcycle community stakeholders aren't really consulted. VicRoads
committees are “rubber stamps”. Members are picked by VicRoads, or a company hired to
find acceptable riders. Agendas and minutes mostly go out late so it's difficult for riders to
prepare for meetings.
11 An example is the Motorcycles In Melbourne Committee (MIMC) at the Town Hall. The
MIMC worked well for over 30 years. VicRoads started attending. VicRoads with Cr Frances
